Typically a small - mid-tier producer/DJ makes $2,000 a show. However, keep in mind this after spending 5 to 7 years of earning nothing and scraping by, even then you have to get lucky. Unless you really like the process of music production it's really not worth the time. I use to promote and DJ for various companies and just produce as a hobby

I know two producers who are locals that actually make money from shows. This goes out to everyone in the thread reagrding pursuing music, you need to ask yourself are you doing it for the pursuit of art or are you doing it for the clout, once you are honest with yourself then you can make it into something, or move on.

I am unironically a professional music producer with a lot of fans, the income is exponential as you grow your fanbase as you would probably have already guessed. But labels and management take big cuts. My goal is to live off passive income from streaming and I'm almost there now, but most EDM producers use shows as their primary source of income.
