When is the wrong question.
In programming, when a “commit” is made and “merged” it is immediately live to anyone running the latest code.

The answer is: already
The next question should be:
When will the nodes be updating their code in production?

>> No.19466410

>>19466332
The answer is: I don’t know.

What I do know: they’d be fucking retarded not to start staking and earning more on collateralized contracts.

Does this mean you will be able to run a node yourself right now, out the gate?

I don’t know. I wouldn’t recommend you do so anyway. Most of us, including myself, are not qualified to run a node. A malicious actor could fuck you by corrupting your nodes data with the intent of just bankrupting you.

Why would they do that? Losing stake means you have to buy back in. The more stake lost and the more actors needing to buy back in, the higher your buy back in price will be as the fucked / independent bad nodes themselves will need to compete to buy up link on the free market.

My recommendation is take your percentage cut like a man and stake with one of the CL network Sergey hand picked operators. They will take a good chunk, but you will never be “fucked”

TLDR
Reddit tier brainlet explainatjon:

Staking is available for nodes
Don’t know when they’ll update but should be soon
You should not stake your own node as many would be happy to fuck you out of your link by hacking your node and making you provide bad data

Within 6 years a 1k stack will make your worth 10 million

Don’t believe me: fine
You’re rich either way.
The 4iR is just beginning.

10,000 people will become multi millionaires

1,000 will become billionaires

A small price to pay for what is to come. So many will be unemployed.

There are many pieces to the puzzle falling in line. The most important are the following:

1. One main blockchain as a source of reference
2. An oracle network with incentivized good behavior and collateralized trust
3. Trustworthy tamperproof IoT edge devices

1. Ethereum Mainnet
2. Chainlink
3. Ledger IoT trusted enclave devices

Won’t make a trip. I’m here to share my observations and nothing more. You’ll probably find me based on writing style sometimes. If I wanted to be known by a name I’d be on reddit. Notoriety is for fools.

Nano S is what I use. For every landmark, I.e. 100, 1000, 5000, 10,000 usd, I will split my link incrementally into hardware wallets. I anticipate staking via a hardware wallet will be possible as is done with Tezos, and also in Solidity you can delegate your funds to be used by a contract, so that’s where I think my route is.
