19458538 No.19458538 [Reply] [Original]

Many such examples could be
>Fidelity uses this to show dividend payouts
>Bloomberg uses this to show the price of US Treasuries
>Priceline uses this to show insurance payouts for flight delays/cancellations
>P&G uses this for shipments of products to retailers/warehouses

Instead it's used by a bunch of 3-man crypto teams to run redundant price feeds no one needs. No one needs a contract for the price of ETH or LTC. This is further confirming that Chainlink is a huge ponzi scheme that no legitimate company will ever use

>> No.19458597

>>19458538
you gave the ideal use cases yourself. but those companies want a demonstrably working product, which is why Chainlink needs to service all (and it really is all, already) these crypto startups and DeFi providers

>> No.19458717

>>19458597
So who is going to build those use cases first? The startups all just are building price feeds and contracts for them

>> No.19458836

do your own research. anons have spent hours going over the industry connections Chainlink/Smart Contract have developed. Everything from bond payments with Santander and CBA, to shipping insurance. These products have been in development for years, they exist right now. But multi-billion, or trillion, or quadrillion (in the case of ISDA) organizations aren't going to swap to a whole new system overnight. They need to know for absolute certain that it works. They're obviously smart enough to see the potential, but they're not going to jump right in. Look at how ISDA or the banks do it, they release talking points, then whitepapers, then POCs, then internal trials. That's where we're at right now. If you wait until these companies make the switch, you'll be priced out. Speculation takes foresight and balls, and calling something you half understand a scam takes neither.

>> No.19458988

To his point, no companies offer any solution other than price feeds. Should be further along, even for startups to trial some of those different functions

Oh, I'm sorry you're too dumb to actually look at the projects. For one, literally all blockchains will be utilizing the network to be able to interact with multiple blockchains. On top of that, companies/projects like SWIFT, Baseline Protocol, IC3, Google, etc etc. LINK is being implemented with everything, and when enterprises start demanding smart contract usage, that's when you'll see it explode. There are already applications in production as stated multiple times by enterprises.

Scam or not, staking alone will drive at least a 3x price increase. Once staking is released people will get a piece of the multi hundred millions of dollars currently operating through the Chainlink network and speculation around how big that pie can get will drive price astronomically.

The success of the company/project is determined by the reliability, scalability, and sustainability of the solution. Speaking of sustainability, backers always look for projects with Viable Income sources. VID.camera defined the difference between Viable Income and Universal Basic Income very well and providing businesses with a reliable ecosystem digitally.
