depends
how many ozs? If one or two, no big deal, maybe $5-$10
No biggie esp if you wanted some particular coins
If you bought a lot, it adds up
100oz x extra $5 per = $500, which would've bought maybe another 25 ozs
OTOH if you think this is the big moonshot and/or SHTF, then get what you can while you still can

So it depends

Do you think Argentinians who bought gold are angry they bought it during 2001 or 2006 or 2008 or 2013 or 2014 when it wasn't a dip? That's basically how you will view purchases made now in 10 years, any dip will just be statistical noise.

If you can get some buy some, if the price rises buy less than you planned. If the price drops buy more than you originally planned. That's how you dollar cost average.

That's how I imagined it but is it really that easy? Will the result look good? W2c silver suited for melting?

>> No.19435559

>That's how I imagined it but is it really that easy?
It's dangerous, not difficult.

>Will the result look good?
Depends on the design. Start with something simple. Also a vibration table will help get air pockets out and help the silver find all the little cracks and crevices in your design. Besides if it doesn't come out how you want you can always melt it again.

>W2c silver suited for melting?
...what? Anything .999+ is suitable for melting. I've seen folks use .999 silver shot and a camping-style propane torch.

But most bullions are more expensive than plain silver. And I thought powdered silver would probably be easier to melt. Have you ever done this btw? Post pics pls if yes

>But most bullions are more expensive than plain silver.
That doesn't change silver's melting point but I see what you're saying. I suggest silver shot, should be cheaper and much easier to work with.

>And I thought powdered silver would probably be easier to melt.
Again, I'd go with silver shot. Powders usually require respirators when you're working with them.

Sure. All you'd have to do is cut a couple dies, put a heated silver planchet between them, and smack with a hammer.

Perfectly fine tech, used for governments in the 15th Century. They, of course, developed ways to hold the die in place for striking, but it's still the same idea.

They do it all the time, alibaba for instance has tons of fake coins and bars of all sizes.
They even do fake dimes, see >>19432054

I'm guessing that a large percentage of fakes are originating in China. The tactics they've employed as far as manufacturing knockoffs and copies and fakes in all other industries def apply to coins and bars. Even if the profit margin per unit is only a few dollars or even pennies, in bulk it adds up. Start with super cheap production and presto, viable (although crappy for everyone else) business model.

TL;DR China.

Your credit card companies do, but that's not necessarily a problem.

In my last bankruptcy I had bought 10 gold eagles about 6 months prior to the bankruptcy. The card company called me and asked for them back. I told them the truth, I had sold them because I needed the money. But it's not like they searched my house for them or anything. I could've lied. I didn't, but there's nothing stopping someone from doing it aside from potential fraud and perjury charges if you got caught.

If you bought hundreds of thousands of dollars they might watch you afterwards for selling activity, but let's face it, I'm the only anon itt that has over $100k in available credit and there's no way I'd pull a trick like that because my good credit is worth far more than the cash.

the other problem card companies have is in the US at least property purchased on a card is not attached. Meaning the card company can't legally repossess anything you buy on a credit card.

You're required by law to state all your assets in bankruptcy court, and the court can decide to force you to sell certain assets. But that money from the sale doesn't necessarily go back to the card company that lent it to you. It gets split up by the court among ALL your creditors. So depending on your debt load if you buy metals on a credit card and then default, the card company probably won't get most of that money back anyways. So they may or may not care. They're going to get screwed whether you sell the assets to pay debt or not. But that's what insurance and credit scores are for.

One would have to be a special breed of retard to try to short SLV rn, since a month the price's chart is literally a starway to heaven, each step being the weekend pause. That said, May saw the biggest paper brrrrr in the history of the COMEX : 55 millions paper oz added, mostly from JPM, so it should have (and was supposed to) tanked the price pretty damn hard, but it had literally 0 effects on the prices. It show how incredibly bullish the market is for PMs right now. If the SHTF momentum continue like this for the rest of 2020 (which we clearly are headed to) i wouldn't be surprised to see a triple digit for physical silver by EOY. The shittier the world get, the stronger we are.

Hi PMG, I sell duplicates/fakes on eBay. Is it wrong that I do, even if I state “unsure if real or not” and get people still bidding over $1k a time for an ounce of gold?

I’ve made close to $16k in the last 2 weeks

I filed bankruptsy before, its not all its cracked up to be, I had a rental property that in 08 turned into a ghetto...
judges will definitely look at your resources if you rack up a bunch of credit card debt over a short period of time. like I would expect him to actually look at your bank and credit transactions if you racked up thousands in a few months.

i just got over 160oz of silver in 10oz bars, scottsdale Mint/ JM bullion bars, and have 2800 in emergency cash, should I stack more silver or keep stacking for an emergency fund?

I would keep 1-1.5k emergency fund and then put the rest in hard assets, but that's just me. Right now with the prices moving like they are I think you wouldn't be stupid to just stack fiat and hold.

the traditional sense of an emergency fund (liquid cash reserves available at a moments notice) is = 6 months wages,... minimum.

that means i need at least $45k in liquid cash reserves. fuck i'm gonna have to stop buying silver for the rest of the year in order to bring the savings up to that level. fuck
