i day trade stocks as cliche as it is. I saved up $30k waging, practiced for 6 months with papermoney and then started for real. Ended up doing well enough to quit my job after a year. I make ~$1000/day but my expenses are only like $4k/month so I put the taxes in a high interest saving account and the rest into index funds. The only time when you should have a constant stream of thought is when your meditating, listening to something with focus or doing a rigorous physical activity (think weight lifting.)

Ideally you want to have multiple different lines of thought occurring at the same time. Imagine reading 5 different books simultaneously and understanding what is happening in all of them. Brainlets only have one stream of thought going at a time.

If someone lives to work or pretends to be like that and wants to impose that onto other people that person is clearly retarded. Most people work to not starve and have a fun life that's not totally shitty and that's it. Some of them are self conscious and aware and some aren't.
