It already happened when oil prices were in negative territory but the crash wasn't that deep. Optimism is going back. Q2 earnings report is going to be grim for a bit but that doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Unemployment rate is at ATH but that's because of the virus, we can take it back down once the vaccine has been developed and that there is an assurance of 2nd wave not happening which is a 50% possibility if Brazil is contained.

Good news/rumors, yet it tanked by ~12% (if you include futures). Are whales currently trying to provoke cheapies and scoop them up? This shit makes no sense at all.

no, it's totally a thing. Also, the rich "eat for flavor." Poor people definitely have a preference for those german eastern european and italian titty goblins. The rich literally pick flatter women because it's supposed to be more modest. It's not that they don't like women with curves, they just pick wives that look the part of a rich woman. More like next year, it just depends when 2nd wave will be worse or not. Let's say 2nd wave happens but is contained in Brazil or some other shithole american countries, we will be okay and the probability of reaching ATH is high, but if the 2nd wave isn't contained and we'll have to enforce lockdowns again then we will just crab around 3100-3300 until 2021 Q3.

they're generally pretty strong. The big canadian and US banks are looking like they'll weather just fine, i'd just avoid COF and DB. Banks generally should keep eating shit for the year due to the low interest rate environment and fear of bankruptcies and defaults on mortgages. WFC above $25 has a good amount of downside risk. To me: JPM is good long term if you get it under $100, but my next buy target is $75. BAC is good under $20. AXP under $80. WFC around $18 and $20. WF might be an interesting play if you can get it around $15. C under $42. Not sure about PNC, GS, or BNY.

Banks are very easy to value. P/B is the best measure. He says to but at P=B but you can go above it. Just study the average p/b of a bank through time and make a conservative estimate. Jpm and c are very good right now.

If you want to be a long term investor in them you should be aware of the bank's portfolio exposure both in terms of business segment and geographical exposure. Yields are very important too especially the 10 year bond yields because mortgages are indexed to that

I decided for myself last year that DB has a very good shot at clawing back to consistent profits without share dilution under Sewing’s ongoing restructuring efforts. His moves have been very impressive so far, but all the pieces need to fall into place and this pandemic isn’t helping. I’m still hanging tight though.

Thanks fren. I learned a lot about the strength of following through with conviction over the last year. If you have an idea, make it a drawn out process and remember that decision going into it, adjusting where absolutely needed but not something to take lightly. When something is down you have to go back to that decision and only let that guide the way.
