This will be a STAGFLATIONARY trend because this insane lockdown has also seriously reduced the world’s capacity to produce food. Food prices overall are rising faster than anyone realized. The increase last year was only 1% whereas this year the increase is touching 3% in just 8 weeks. This is the direct result of the destruction of the capacity to produce food which will threaten a rising famine over the next two years as well.

This is a sign of Ursine Psychosis.

They are bond like in that they are a safe place to stick money that has the cash flow to support their yield. In 10 years, do you think Microsoft will be worth more or less than it is today? When you compare it to the real yield on a 10-year Treasury, there is a significant likelihood that the returns from MSFT will outpace the returns from the 10 year. And the odds of Microsoft defaulting are so low they’re comparable to the US defaulting.

The dangers are low, but the potential upside is significant.

They sound woefully pessimistic, like the doomsayers at zerohedge.

If worst comes to worst, we will have to have a very specialized workforce that willingly segregates from the rest of society. Meat-processing villages. So prices will rise as we’ll have to pay them more. Which isn’t the same as an inability to produce.

This is the only warning I will give to you people.

COVID-19 has spread to the bat populations of Brazil, and subsequently has developed a genetic mutation. This mutation has resulted in a much more infectious and deadly variant of COVID-19 The R0 Roughly 5-6 compared to 2-3 and death rate 20% compared to <1% across every age group, young and old. This supped up version of COVID-19 has caused an explosion of infection and deaths in Brazil.

This is not currently being reported on/acknowledged by MSM, but you can already see the data. On Tuesday, expect this information to gain mainstream attention.

I find it funny that here anyway people who work at kroger for example gotta wear masks but anyone else who walks in can do so without one. Like what's the point then. Also my workplace you have to wear a mask and also fill out a questionnaire checking off virus symptoms every day you enter the building. Failure to do so means they can discipline you (aka fire you) and send you home. If you say you have any symptoms they send you home. Despite signs and shit on the doors stating "no entry if you've been sick or blah blah" Also we ain't open to the public yet and anyone who can (everyone) is working from home unless they gotta go in for some shit on random days. So the place is silent as a tomb.

Here is my methodology in detail:
Find upcoming earnings for the next week or so
https://markets.businessinsider.com/earnings-calendar
https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/earnings
https://seekingalpha.com/earnings/earnings-calendar
https://www.earningswhispers.com/
Then I filter for:
Market cap (should be $1B+)
Has weekly options
I can afford lots of 100
This will still leave you with a few dozen.
Next I go to my broker and look up various facts about the company, performance history, dividends, volume, analyst options, recent news, market sentiment, momentum, potential upside and downside. If a company looks like a total loser, then throw it out.
Next I look at the weekly options strike prices, and calculate the percent I would make if I immediately opened a position and sold calls at the same time. Generally, I calculate based on bid, and all strikes in -6% to +10% and (for example if a stock is 100, Id look at the percentage profits from selling strikes at 94 and up to 110).
Then I have that list I gave you (it only shows at the money percentage). Then I decide which looks like the least risky with the greatest upside. Choosing the highest premium isn't necessarily the best bet. So far the worst case I had was -0.5% when HPE dropped 12%. The nice thing is though, I can just hold it for next week and suddenly that -0.5% becomes a +1%.

There are easier strategies of course, I am also selling weeklys on a 3x leveraged ETF. You could also sell calls on dividend stocks, you won't make much but it will still pay more than the dividends.

I’m not going to fault them too much for that, it’s the case with sooooo many promising anime, and it’s hardly LOST tier, or GANTZ tier.

Also I haven’t watched the OVAs yet, and they may have fucked with the endings to allow for the “real” ending to be in the movies/ovas. Like haruhi did with the endless eight.

And I don’t mind a knockoff if it has enough creativity and does what it does well. rahxephon is absolutely a ripoff/retelling of Eva, but i enjoyed it regardless.

Eh... they have a lot of cash on the balance sheet and they have the size to survive this crisis. Consider this: Amazon won’t be able to buy out every small cap tech that’s about to go bankrupt because antitrust. The world gets more digital and automated every single day. The fact that you probably do not live in a fully automated house, sleep in your car while it drives and your coffee mug has no chip to keep it warm automatically is prove to the fact that tech has a long way to go.

That's the aim, but with tech moving towards h1b it has dropped the wages of future innovators and propped up tards that can't code. We're already produce to many programmers, which is why the department of labor clumped them in with web technology (totally different tool set). Without having the real incentive the best will not see a point in joining the ranks and being past the torch. As the gen x drops from the field the corporate organism forgets how to do things. Then new companies climb up and squish them (think Google vs IBM early 2000s).
I'm not saying tech is going into a dark age where we forget everything. I mean dead like a long ass period of stagnation. Nothing exciting will pop up for 30 years.

I have no social media, buy old Chinese phones, grew up with no internet and cook with the pot of my grandmother.

That said, the future is now. These things will happen and 20 year olds can already no longer imagine a life without internet. In 20 years kids will wonder why old Mr. Johnson still drives by himself and in 40 years we will have chips in our heads to support Israel.

Tech is rapidly developing. I personally never used Tinder (well, I scammed Americans for money pretending to be a Ukranian girl on another site which was fun), but Id happily buy into MTCH. I dont know what SNAP even does, but I bought in when all the teenagers started using it. Its like IG? FB? Who cares.
I never ever used FB but acknowledge that they control the modern means of communication in the western world.
I never saw TSM on anything and use an old i3, but still buy them because better chips are the future.

Gotta go with the times.
Also Im dead tired. If some sentences just fall apart sorry for that.

>Meme house, gimmick mug, meme fride
There's a difference between "muh shiny futurism" and what big tech actually makes money on in the long run. Things like office productivity, cloud infrastructure, targeted ad delivery (like it or not, advertising is currently essential to the financial viability of media services), or just plain old applying existing technological capability to industries that are slow to change - things that save big businesses money by cutting human jobs or multiplying what a single human can achieve - these are what will drive tech forward. Consumer tech is mostly just toys that can, as a bonus, serve as a tech demo for techniques that will be later used to provide actual economic value. Sometimes, the consumer toys themselves can provide value too by enabling economic interactions that weren't possible before (e.g. online shopping, easily accessible location services via GPS etc.), but "what the consumer wants" is not always the same as what provides an objective productivity improvement.

The point I'm trying to make is, while stagnating consumer tech could be a red flag for future progress in electronics, it is not a definitive indicator of presence or lack of current progress in electronics.

The “mug” thing was due to cheapness and marketing, facilities set up to put wireless functionality on their cards and mass produce found it to economical to produce them in large amounts and reconfiguring to remove them had other associated costs, so they just kept pumping them out then marketing teams liked to add an extra few bullet points and pretend those features mattered. There was a book about all this stupid IoT shit and I listened to an interview with the author, interesting enough.

Not quite. The limit is actually thermal - you can manufacture smaller transistors now than 10 years ago, but power density at max clocks does not scale the same way max clocks did, meaning if you really sized all transistors in a processor for physical max clock it would be a housefire. It's a real possibility that new, exotic types of transistors could enable further scaling similar to how MOS technology outclassed BJT's for computing (BJTs are faster at same dimensions but are even more of a housefire than MOS). I have to think durability will become an issue at some point but at "7nm" and shrinking there's no sign of that yet.

As to software, it's all just logic so yeah probably no Moore's law equivalent to be had there. True AI is the holy grail but that will probably primarily require advancements in neuroscience rather than traditional electronics & software.
