The what is definitely, the when is the complicated part.

The underlying economics are really fucking bad at this point. We're looking at double digit unemployment, the repos exposed hundreds of zombie companies just living on cheap debt, the political situation in the states is seen as complicated at best, and the only real thing keeping people in the market is faith in aggressive stimulus.

Keep in mind, stimulus isn't business as usual, eventually it has to stop, and at that point the reality of the market will collapse. Until then, it's big names trying to make money in the meantime before it happens and hoping to get out when the writing is on the wall.

This thread has been posted everyday for the past weeks. Even with China not setting a target for GDP, and oil tanking 7%, we still closed green on Friday. We’re not crashing.

The problem with that train of thought is that it implies people are all in for long term positions whereas there is a huge amount of money that is riding the temporary, completely fake, recovery. As soon as people become convinced stocks are as high as they'll be with the on the ground, they'll pull.

Alternatively, the stock market might just fucking overheat as people invest in stocks with the hopes it'll hedge inflation if we're still in a similar place in a few months.

Us boomers know that it will fall and that y'all millennials will suffer. Should have listened to your dad's but your ego won't let you. Sad!

Your whore mother is priced in, faggot. This market is a fucking delusional shit fest. Just look at Hertz. Some faggots were shilling the stock 4 weeks ago with the priced in and buy the dip arguments.

Middle of Summer, but that's just my gut feeling. Also likely to sell off a few points heading into election day and a bit more after Biden wins.

It won't happen. Now the world has changed. It will not crash like any crisis before.
There was no company broke ATH during the dead cat bounce. Let alone many many companies. (not just Amazon). Let alone some companies filing bankruptcies. If cruise lines can recover with 0 costumers in the near future, no prices can fall.

I'm an elder millennial that jumped in about a month ago. I'm an out of work bartender, no insider, total newfag, my opinion is probably trash.
I liquidated my entire portfolio on Friday, with the exception of a smallish position in SRNE. I don't think we'll make it thru the first week of June without another major leg down.

We can all see that the markets are completely disconnected from the larger macroeconomic data (unemployment numbers, retail bankruptcies, on-the-ground sentiment). Yes, "the Fed is juicing, TINA, FOMO... just wait till we reopen!"

The faggots still shilling this "boom" that is about to happen are either completely delusional, or they are outright lying to you so that you'll hold their bags. I live in one of the first states to reopen. People ARE NOT going back to work, they ARE NOT packing the bars and restaurants, they ARE NOT buying homes.

This economic turndown is not temporary bc of "muh lockdown", corona was an excuse for these bastards to pop the everything bubble. What is coming for the USA is a raping unlike anything we've gotten since the Brits burned the White House back in 1812. Great Depression? We should be so lucky.

The Fourth Turning is here, we are surfing the Kali Yuga. All we can do is embrace the destruction, and position ourselves to rebuild from the ashes.
