Unironically it lead to my financial wellness. My roommate bought 100 eth at $10/eth and I got jealous when it got to $300/eth. I started learning how to trade shitcoins and it lead me down the road to learning about stocks, financial planning, investing, etc. I now put 10% of my salary in my 401k and max out my Roth IRA every year, got disciplined enough with my saving to afford a downpayment, and focus on my earning potential by learning to identify deals and sales opportunities in my career. I also think I'm pretty good at trading stocks based on my Roth returns. I never got a windfall from trading crypto but I'm grateful for /biz/. I had 600 antshares that I bought at $7 (sold way too early), made $40k off bitcoin cash in a few hours the night it got announced for coinbase (held WAY too long... actually lost money I think), but now I'm hopeful ESH can do a 10x and I can close the book on my crypto gambling fascination. Oh yeah and I learned to never put too much money on fucking shitcoins lmao
