geospatial satellite distance = 35,786 km
speed of light = 299,792 km/s
-> 35,786 / 299,792 = 0,119 seconds
therefore, a signal going from an antenna to a satellite takes approximately 200 milliseconds, factor in the fact that a signal has to first go from earth to the satellite, then from the satellite to earth that's 400 milliseconds.

CONCLUSION : satellite internet is useless for gaming, since you would get a mini ping on 400 milliseconds. nothing can go faster than speed of light, satellite internet is lame and will only be used for enterprise and boomer internet browsing.
