One (Euro) has no formal army, while the other (yen) has such a small army it may as well not exist, and yet both are still currencies. Power does not make something valuable, nor does it keep people from losing trust in something. Brazil has had a strong currency that has died before even if they've had the strongest army in Latin America. The reason the Dollar is valuable is because people in the US believe in it and think it has value. Same goes with crypto and stocks. Producing something mean nothing, power means nothing. Relative value or speculation of value means everything.
