So anons.
Anyone tried meditation for a longer term?
Been doing it for 3 days. During my morning routine for 10-15. Feels pretty comfy.
Also been doing those hour long anxiety hypnosis sessions and seems pretty comfy after.

Anyone doing any sort of meditation?
How are your experiences?
The OoOoOoOoO daily moon chant does not count as a meditation.

Tell me frens.

Combine that with exercise and you can do just about anything you put your mind to.

How do I meditate exactly? It doesn’t do anything for me

Meditation is cool, can confirm. I achieved some weird states few times similar to acid or weed but without using them.

just sit and breathe. you get more out of it the more you practice. Dont try to suppress thoughts but just let them go through you. in your day to day life try to practice mindfulness, which is just awareness in the moment. these two things with exercise and a clean intention will lead to many benefits

Meditation is amazing. It's one of those things that sound like a self improvement broscience meme (ie nofap, cold showers, mewing) but it is totally legit.

think of meditation as the art of attention, paticularly the attention to the present through the form of feeling the senses of the breath in and out of the lungs, no attention to thoughts, just physical sensations, dont commit less than 15 minutes to each session, every time you want to open your eyes and you keep them close thats like a meditation 'rep' gl

I try to meditate every morning. I haven't been consistent with it unfortunately, but when I do it it's great. My ADD-riddled brain is often all over the place, and taking a minute to still the mind helps tone down the anxiety and makes it easier to focus on what I have to get done that day.

>>18931413
This. I'm convinced daily meditation + exercise is the best thing you could do for your mental and physical health.

>>18931457
Just find a comfy place to sit and focus on your breathing. That's the gist of it. It feels a little weird at first when you're not used to it but keep going and you'll definitely notice results.

As your Tyrant, I can tell you that you are a n00b. That's not how meditation works. This is like saying "If I can start the engine, I'm driving the car"

Thats how you start.
Once you get to know how to do it yourself you do it by your own.
Simple. Your mom started making your laces then you learned yourself, well maybe you did.
KEK.
Try it anyway anon.

>Your mom started making your laces then you learned yourself, well maybe you did.
I love my mom but she never taught me anything, when I got internet I unironically had to google how to tie my shoes.
The only reason I wipe my own ass is because she's an unreliable ass wiper.

Anyway you sound like a fag with your guided meditation meme, smell ya later.

Tried it, but probably not long enough to see ground-breaking results.
Problem is that I suspect that meditation only numbs your symptoms instead of solving the underlying problems. I would rather find real meaning and purpose in life than coasting happily on a psycho hotfix.

So how do you actually do it?

I sit there and immediately start thinking of shit.
Try to focus on breathing and immediately start thinking of other bullshit.
Look at the clock, only been 3 minutes, immediately start thinking of all the other more useful shit I could be doing.

>> No.18933707

>>18933525
Don't look a clock, use a timer (and trust yourself, I always keep thinking that I forget to set the timer and should stop)
Just keep on thinking about that stuff and don't try to force your focus. It will clear up eventually once you become calmer.
