All I want is a modest house in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Why is this so hard to attain in America without putting yourself into crippling lifelong debt?

>> No.18930344

No it isn't. Even in the midwest, a small house like that is $300k minimum in a safe and friendly (i.e. white) neighborhood with good schools.

Niggers
White people of modest means have no way of self-segregating. Any community they build is invaded by niggers.
The problem doesn't exist if you're rich because niggers will forever be priced out of living in your community.

Nobody publishes the real number because people would call them racist, but it's close to half a million. "Average" statistics in America include the large portion of our population that's non-white, so those numbers are pretty much useless.

why is /biz/ so black and white? this house is neither 70k nor 300k, probably somewhere right in the middle, depending on which town it's in.

And you can't do that without taking out a loan that you will be paying back from a large portion of your paycheck for the rest of your life and keep you from building your own wealth.

If nice houses were cheap, you'd have to live around poor people and shitskins. If you want to live in a nice neighborhood, you have to earn it. That means focus on your career and get really good at making money. That's all there is to it.

>end up paying $800k for it in principal + interest over 30 years plus $200k in property taxes

>house is worth just under $800k 30 years later
Yeah, great way to build your wealth.

>> No.18931074

lol. Thats why you get a 15 year loan. If you cant buy a house on a 15 year loan with 20-40 percent down, you can't afford it. Dont be stupid. Dont be house poor.

>> No.18931124

>>18931053

>pay rent to landlord until you retire
>no more income

The idea is that you sell your $800k home and move somewhere cheaper. If you can't save anything on top of your mortgage though, you bought too much house.

>> No.18931139

Literally this. People just don't like to admit it to themselves/others, so they'll use coded language like "good schools".

The real cost of living is much higher than it appears on paper, because you have to take into account what it takes to live in a nice area. That doesn't mean a rich area, it just means an area that's mostly white and not a crime-ridden nigger-infested shit hole. And then on top of that you have to factor in job availability and things like having to commute 90 minutes each way to your job that's still in niggerland.

>> No.18931164

You can get it for 150k-200k in the midwest, but jobs will be scarce and public schools are crap

>> No.18931196

>>18930967
That's true. It's just a shame that segregation is illegal, because then people wouldn't have to rely on roundabout bullshit like jacking up the price literally just to keep niggers out.

>> No.18931242

correct. that's why we could afford to spend a little more.

>>18931053
since we are doing thought experiments, compare my 400k house to your paying rent for 30 years. at the end of 30 years, you'll have pissed away hundreds of thousand and own NOTHING, and I'll own a house with land.
Middle class pays the interest, lower class pays the rent.

it's 100% because of money printing and devaluing people's savings (inflation) which forces people with savings to flee with their capital into something that cannot be printed out of thin air which is real estate thus driving prices through the roof.
