Hi Frens, it just hit me.

>be me
>just finish last college exam
>realize now I have to work

I make $15 an hour as a network engineer, and my boss wants me to work 5 days a week but can only offer me 30 hour weeks because of Coronavirus.

I have a college degree in Information Technology, and I will be making $15 an hour.

I had seen posts of people saying the real dread/depression hits when you realize you did everything by the book, and still aren’t gonna make it.

Will chainlink ever hit 1k EOY or is it a meme. I think what is adding to my depression is I had a glimpse of making it and it faded away. I started trading options in december and turned $500 in $32,000, and then proceded to turn that $32,000 into $2,500.

Everynight I can’t fucking sleep anymore because I know I will never have those “carefree” days again at the lake in summer, wtf how did I fuck this up. WTF do I do I don’t wanna sit in the cubical drive home in traffic, and go back to my little box every day. I’m about 5 seconds away from packing my bags, moving back to my hometown and trying to daytrade as I sleep in my car. Fuck this normie life.

If all else fails I can rope, any advice for a 21 year old kid?

I timed a lot of options very well, calls on AMD at $35 with a $50 strike, calls on QQQ, calls on PENN.

Then Puts on Tesla at $800 and sold at $350 that was my big money maker turned $6,000 into about $28,000.

Then some calls on XOM from $30 to $36.

Then I lost it all on bad trades, I bought into the Bear arguement too hard and had wayyy to many puts on IWM, and SPY and Tesla.

I’ve pulled out $1,200 into my bank account and have $1,000 in on broker and $800 in another so I didn’t “lose” money but it still hurts

move to a big yuro city. if you want i can get you a network eng job which pays double easily

>> No.18924064

What do you want?
I still had things i wanted to do at 21 but if you have already reached that point of doing everything you wanted to the only thing ive found that helps with this shit is doing something risky like ride a motorbike too fast, surfing big waves etc.
Life is hard enough when you have a genuine goal, it gets nightmarish and self desteuctive when you are doing things you would ortherwise never do for no reason

Lol nope, I was part time 20 hours a week, while I was studying in college, so now that I just graduated, my boss is offering me 30 hours a week, but wants me to do it in 5 6-hour days.

I wish lol, but no, life fucked me. Now I’m getting super nostalgic for the “good old days” I’m also frantically looking for businesses to start or any investment ideas so I can escape my situation.

I hate what I’ve become. I moved from the northeast to Florida, 4 years ago, and I think I miss it a lot, considering bailing and moving back, but no-one is currently hiring.

Also I don’t know, maybe an office job will be easier if the weather is always shit?

im currently amazon slaving BUT i had a first and second interview for this one place this week with the potential for doing something i actually am interested in and would be essentially 3x what i was making the past year. i really fucking hope i get it guys, ive got high hopes for it.

and OP honestly, live out of your car anyways. if you dont have a family it really doesnt matter. just find a gym for working out and showering and just save all the fucking money you can because once you start making commitments in life you cant go back on them.

Hey Anons,

I need some advice I'm getting really worried about my future in regards to my career prospects. The last half of the decade I've been working for some of the biggest retail companies in various management roles making a good amount of money.

Mostly Operations management but also merchandising, customer service and loss prevention. But I'm looking to leave retail, I want to work in an office job even if it means taking some sort of paycut. But with my experience where should I being looking?

Thanks in advance.

I was expecting 48k range for salary, but coronavirus fucked that up, as my company furloughed 500 people, and put in a hiring freeze.

I just need the courage to bail

There is no get rich quick OP. The work you've done learning about investment will serve you well in your goals to retire early. Remember that you can reach your goals without continually taking HYUGE gambles in relation to your total net worth. Your income will improve over time as you learn more, and market your knowledge.

Be patient. If you dont enjoy your work, find other more satisfying work.

Your young I wouldn’t worry about it I literally didn’t give a fuck about money until 29
Spent all on girls , cars and boozing with friends after rent.
Use that time to figure out what industry you actually would enjoy working in or at least get $35 per hour with prospects to $50

That’s kind of my issue, so my old friends live up in the northeast, and I don’t have many friends here down south.

What do I do? how do I make friends, I think that’s what’s really bringing me down. I don’t have any loved ones.

I also need to find a girlfriend, but it’s hard now, idk

I’d go back hang with your friends , party , just get whatever job you can.
That’s what I did - most days went into work hungover so i didn’t give a toss what the job was
I ended up doing alright
I was in panic as a late teen about having a career

if what you said was true, keep doing what you're doing with options, keep your portion sizes small in the beginning like 500 and add a hundred every month to your trade. Don't greed and lose it all. Truth be told you are already doing better than most people your age, myself included haha. Keep your job and stay away from coins for now, you understand options, that's your strength, don't fomo into something out of your element. Keep this up for 5 years and then start investing in spy and dividend stocks. Things would start getting comfier and you would start getting more "carefree days" as time goes by. Endure just these 5 years of hell while working and trading options. Stay strong fren
