Its just algo shit, once or twice a day algos will trigger a chain reaction that will make the price shoot up or down.

There is no fundamental or logic to it.

With a crisp glass of sav Blanc in my hand I give a smug smirk to the camera. I have been preparing for this moment all week. Bruno Malli gloves, silk scarf, ridiculously oversized pocket square, and 1:1 gold plated replica Rolex Presidential. My autism prohibits me from being not being overdressed for everything I attend. Fraud?!? How can I be the fraud look at what I am wearing!

They also need to eliminate some of the more profitable longs before they continue shooting up, with the benefit of dumping the shorts that were just opened

It's down $100 compared to a few hours ago. I wouldn't call that "suppressing the price" and more that we've been pumping nonstop and a couple hundred dollars difference when we're almost at 10K is expected.

Bitcoin never sleeps, not once did a circuit breaker trigger through the worst sell-off of the DOW. It never stops trading, and it never will. It is the ultimate expression of a free market where price discovery still exists.

How often has that actually happened? The last time it did I bought more since I'd been waiting a year after missing out the first time; I knew that I probably wouldn't get another chance. And the only reason I likely got a chance to buy at that level again is because of a global pandemic that cut everything in half. We're now higher than we were before the fall off.
