They over complicated the solution and it attracted 4chan and other tech minded autists which is why it gain cult status here, but in reality, Coinbase beat them to market with much more simple product, much line Uniswap is doing so to a lot of shitcoins right now.

sometimes complexity doesn't matter, just a solution. coinbase have shown this with their oracle.

Now the market is finally reacting.

well obviously it's incredibly low, since you're a link holder.

Open Oracle is the competitor. And Coinbase (correctly) chose to use them as their oracle network standard (instead of Chainlink).

It's better in every way. It's free, no token 65% held by Sergey, no KYC. And it allows to do the same thing, get the median or average from multiple oracle sources (it also makes TEEs obsolete)
