The governments corn subsidies caused corporations to put high fructose corn syrup into everything which gave everyone diabetes to some extent. Now they're all dependent on insulin owned by the same corporations. This is generations of greed and general debauchery culminating in the ultimate failure of the central world power. This much is obvious to anyone with half a brain. Marx's insight is that the equally inevitable decline in wage share will eventually mean that there will come a point where firms are unable to sell all the shit that they make to workers, because the worker's pay is such dogshit.
