I'm not entirely sold on this yet. For example 3 bar play is generally an extremely strong signal resolving correctly 90% of the time on just the second bar (while a real advocate of 3bp would tell you to only invest on the 3rd bar). Fibonacci retracements also seem to work really well, though they don't signal WHEN levels will be breached. They're a perfectly fine risk management statistic.
