Tax deferment. Capital appreciation that outstrips divvy hogs.

Nah, if I want to speculate on capital appreciation I’ll just buy calls. Literally no reason to own a stock that doesn’t have a dividend.

With a lot of brick and mortar retail shut down and people not wanting to leave their house, I think Amazon is gonna go through the roof.

I honestly think we could see $3000 in 30 days.

75% of my portfolio is Amazon right now.

Who gives about P/E or dividend yield? They're going for maximum growth and seem to be doing a pretty good job at it. If they paid a dividend, then they wouldn't be able to invest in infrastructure.

Cuz the dividend reduces the price of the share on the dividend distribution date you dumbass

a very high p/e is a sign of an overvalued stock. doesnt take much to get the swing to start shifting the other way and investors will bail fast

>Book value is $125
>P/E is 98
>Dividend is zero.
Amazon has had very good growth, and everyone knows they will be successful. However, every share you buy, is the equivalant of paying $2,000 for a company that makes about $20 a year, and has about $125 worth of equity. That seems a little expensive to me. I think most of this is speculation. Amazon has been crabbing for 2 years. I think its maxed out, and is about to go back down again.

You sound like my dad when I bought it years ago for 400. Back then the PE was even worse I think. You can't use grade 10. economics when looking at guidance. They make no money because they reinvest all profits into new ventures. They host the internet, they deliver ship out all the packages, the sell you your food, and they make tv. uuuh bu bu but the PE. Amazon is 4 life.
