Everything today. The part of 1 cent per share earnings for WFC and JPM's own struggle not scaring people. How Fauci said May reopening is overly optimistic. How JPM CEO said we won't reopen in May, like June, July, or even August. Oil dipping below 20. Gold ATM. Future earnings projected to be just as bad for all companies coming up. Q2 being INFINITELY worse than Q1 already is. Goldman Sachs saying we are looking at a coming recession 4x worse than 2008/9, and unemployment well be WORSE than the great depression. It is an open secret like half of everything will be gone and out of business in coming months, not every business will be saved yet all rise.

All of this today. The talking heads of investing gave up justifying even, now everyone is saying "fundamentals don't exist in this market, so just go with momentum and pray." I have never seen more negative news in one day about our economic outlook, and you are telling me NASDAQ is back to normal and S&P might be at this rate by EOW? This is deeply, disturbingly wrong and if you aren't a bear then idk what to say. We had our rally, it has to be near its end.

There is no possibility of herd immunity. This is a severe RNA virus with no natural human immunity. People don’t fully understand what this means. Your body can fight off regular viruses that have evolved around us and maintain an easier time keeping future infections. When we have an alien virus like this you can keep getting reinfected over and over and over... endlessly. The problem is the virus stays in your body, dormant after antibodies have succeeded in destroying active viruses. The antibodies go away after a cycle. Then the virus goes active again. This virus is an anti evolution virus in that humans cannot evolve quick enough to form a generational immunity which is what we would need. This virus 100% was created and not a natural virus. The incubation period is proof of that alone but when you take into consideration the amount of reinfected you basically have to live in dreamland to believe this was a natural occurring virus somewhere in the wild.

They've already had success with convalescent plasma therapy. If we couldn't form an immunity to it, our immune system wouldn't be able to fight it off in the first place. 2 things:
1. I think the Rona isn't heat resistant so we will start seeing cases decline and disappear until October. This is why cases are now starting to spike in Russia and Japan.
2. I kinda think quarantine measures have actually been successful and our peak was last week in America. the economy will make a near full recovery as long as the quarantine measures end by mid-May as long as the virus is dissapating or maintained at a lower spread the economy is set to restart, demand for things will still be there if the disease goes away. If they are still in effect by mid-May and beyond the economy will indeed contract as lots of businesses go bankrupt and nothing will be there to replace them for a while.

Seriously, who the fuck is shorting JNUG?

This shit was skyrocketing and as soon as I bought the top (7.92) it plummeted like 15%

JNUG itself is barely up today, and I have to hold 2 days for settlement.

JNUG is trending on Robinhood, which is fucking terrible because the volatility of amateur panic sellers and buyers is fucking the rest of us.

Miners supposedly resume their work all over the world within these next 3 weeks. Gold is still booming, although it seems a bank sold off their gold which caused the panic plunge in the morning.

All in all, I'm down 15 grand in a day. This stock is still upwards trending, but I can't find any new info on how JNUG will hold up these next few days.

Anyone know exactly what needs to happen for the price to rise, and for it to rise based on fundamentals and not pure speculation.

SOXL is the answer. Face it; semiconductors are crack in all but name. The desire for newer, faster, more is insatiable. Computers, GPUs, self-driving electric cars, AI enhanced smartphones, medical devices, microcontrollers, networking gear, machine learning, surveillance, infrastructure, military, the list is endless. No matter how many cores, how fast or efficient, demand requires bigger, faster, cheaper, better. The clamor for fresh silicon gives nary shit for national identity, creed, hue, gender, asshole virginity or other vain conceit; the multitude speaks in singular. The plea: semiconductor.
SOXL couples a single ETF entry point with the the best companies the space has to offer then pushes these already stellar returns to the limit with 3x leverage. With SOXL your economic interests are aligned with powerhouses TSM, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Intel, Broadcom, AMD, Micron, Texas Instruments, Applied Materials, et al. Real tech companies with innovative products people want, not """tech""" """companies""" pushing shitty ads. And like all leveraged ETFs, SOXL is rebalanced daily, deftly mitigating margin risks.
In the last 7 years, barring the coronavirus interruption, SOXL has exploded over 55x yet still we are early. Semiconductor growth will proceed exponentially until every viable space is saturated with it. This is a fait accompli; the sheer number of interested parties and compelling outcomes make it so. The injection of increasingly compact and efficient sensors, microcontrollers, information processing and storage into everywhere and everything will be this era's seminal revolution, a revolution with SOXL holders planted firmly at the receiving end.
Stop waiting for more "pullback". The crash was a gift and fretting over the exact bottom is meaningless. Deliberation is over; waiting is a failure mode. Now. Buy it now.

I think you're hedging in the wrong direction. If none of this works and society falls apart then money won't be worth anything and you won't reap any rewards from your bearish bets.

But if things manage to stay afloat like they generally do, and the dollar, the most sought after global currency, doesn't suddenly become worthless... if the status quo is maintained, then money will be worth something, and your bearish bet won't pay off.

If you're that concerned about inflation buy TIPS or gold or something. Goddamn son. Doomers are pathological.

Honestly the odds of this continuing without even a single large dip is practically zero. SPY is so overbought it can't even be described.
