I'd say half of all jobs in the US are bullshit that don't need to exist, and wouldn't exist if everyone were suddenly fiscally responsible and saved and were immune to the mass psychology employed by the advertising industry. I agree for the most part, but the US would never even come close for the dominoes to reach home. The US is probably the only country in the world that can be self-sufficient. India invited Trump to visit recently because they need us, we don't need them. It would be a painful few years to get to self-sufficiency, but it would absolutely the best investment that America could make for herself.

There won't be inflation. Inflation only occurs when vast amounts of dollars are printed, while the economy reaching capacity in productivity at the same time. Everyone who can afford a smart phone, has a smart phone. Everyone who could afford a car, has a car. Everyone who could afford a house, has a house. This is why we are transitioning into the 4th industrial revolution. Everyone keeps talking about the economic reset, but they can't define it. The reset is the 4th industrial revolution because there will be a massive demand in new productivity. Trump is timing it perfectly. Trump is literally the world bank now. The world is in desperate need of dollars for their reserves. Everyone flocked to the dollar for safety during shutdowns and they are going to stay that way. Leaders hate it, but they don't have a choice. Everything is too fragile now to not stay in the dollar.

As for exploiting others, that has occurred since the beginning of time and it will never change. Never. Things can get better, but there will always be those who are exploited. The universe demands variety.
