Stubborn management is actually why I'm on Nintendo. It won't work 100%, they will get shit on because "why the fuck aren't they doing this, or this, or this popular shit reeeeee", but at the end of the day, their stubbornness is because they play the long game with their properties rather than cheap quick profit. I'd rather have them be stubborn, but managing and maturing their IPs with intelligence than whoring them up. They know it's what makes them print money, and they know people will have no other choice than to buy their hardware to play their IPs. Actually, I think they already went too far in mobile venture with their IPs. I'd rather they just create new IPs just for mobile, and if they somehow managed to struck gold with one (which is incredibly hard to do in that sector), then why not expand that new IP on consoles? Right now they're trying the reverse, and it's my only complain about their current strategy. No big deal though, I can live with this.

>My thesis is that hardware sales are too risky (Wii U almost caused bankruptcy) and low margin
And no, Wii U never made them close to bankruptcy. Not even close. They could survive doing a Wii U again 10 times if needs be. You have to consider how big Nintendo's treasure is. They have like 8 or 10 billions dollaridoos in their treasure chest, and almost no debt to speak of. They could just put their treasure chest in bonds and live off that eternity, Nintendo isn't going anywhere soon. I guarantee you they'll still be there in 100 years.

Also they have the best waifus in vidya.

It’s a relief rally after people got overly pessimistic.

The hedge fund managers on their pandemic islands are seeing that society didn’t break down, so the worst IS over in that sense.

The economic fallout will continue. But it’s not the end of law and order and looting and raping and Molotov cocktails flying

daily reminder that if your risk is equal to your reward while trading, you only have to be right more than half the time to be profitable. if your reward is double your risk, you could win 1 and lose 2 and still break even.

all that matters in this game are deciding on good entry points, and once you're in a position you let risk management handle the rest. that's literally all there is. some method to figure out a high probability setup, and then once you're in you set your risk and your reward and walk away, maybe scaling in/out depending on your style. it's all about entry points, and after you enter everything should just be about risk vs. reward.

It has growth potential because the government and big corporations now use it to shape civil discourse of China's youth, and the latter actually like the interaction based on what I've seen.

exit points should literally LITERALLY be determined by risk. a very common method is to sell half your position at 1R and then move your stop loss up to break even, and trail it behind the low of the 2nd to last candle until it gets popped. alternatively you can sell the 2nd half at 2R and just exit the position entirely at that point, or get out early if your system of indicators tells you the trend is over. once you get into a position everything else should be determined by risk ratios in all honesty. it determines what win rate you need to be profitable that way.

Yessir. I'm a sperg and collect hobbies, too many hobbies. Animal photography, skiing, mountain biking, wood working, guitar and bass, archery. I have been building a new mountain bike while on work furlough. And speaking of which, I hate how fussy it is to get hydraulic disc brake calipers to line up properly. Cable disc brakes are so much easier as they only have one moving pad instead of two, and have a micro adjust dial on them to fix slight rotor rub.

I have a pic saved somewhere on "what Lain would look like today" from the era of big-eyed moeshit. I wish I could find it. Now it'd be even further away. But I'd still watch a remake it if they could capture the atmosphere. (It would never hold up to the nostalgia version though).

i just trade the stocks themselves (or /ES futures but that's basically the same thing except with leverage), i can't speak on options besides the fact that you have to consider premiums in your risk management and you can hedge by going both long and short at the same time.

you can do fancy tricks that fuck with the math but at the end of the day, whether you are in options or stocks, risk management is still the #1 most important thing. i wouldn't so much think about "changing tactics" as much as "having a system that tells you with a high probability whether price is more likely to go up or down". my tactics always stay the same, but i can go both long and short with them.

The US oil labor market is used to booms and busts, so they're not going to hurt too bad as long as the oil price recovers eventually. Once the price rises again production will go up again no problem. Price war is retarded desu because they would have to keep prices below $30/barrel for a decade to actually cripple the US's ability to produce oil (although Canada would get Rekt permanently). If they need to I can see North America putting small tariffs on oil to keep the price at a certain level.

But on the Trump supporters getting mad, those states will go Trump regardless of what he does.

If you're wanting to gamble on stocks, pick a leveraged ETF and its inverse to swing back and forth with. I'd suggest SPXL and SPXS. SPXL is a 3x leveraged bull ETF based on the S&P 500 so if the S&P goes up 10% in a day, SPXL will go up 30% and vice versa. SPXS is the opposite.

Sure they would but you just have to be a little strategic about it. Either have multiple brokers giving you linearly increasing numbers of trades or play the bull/bear ETFs off each other. Say you buy $500 worth of SPXL and you want to flatten your trade but don't want a day trade strike, Just buy $500 worth of SPXS and you're now flat for the day. If you want to then go short you can buy another $500 worth of the SPXS and be that much net short. Options work mostly the same way. You buy a call at some strike then want to flatten, just sell another call at the closest to your original strike as you can get without it being the same one.
It sucks getting around the PDT rule but it's not such a big deal that it makes day trading impossible. Do this for a while and if you're good the problem will solve itself

DHT, which is oil storage. I am predicting a falloff and then a pump when the oil folk realize they have nowhere to put this shit even if they halt production. I wanna hit that fall off with my strike, take a preemie and go right into the pump.

I wouldn't be so sure.
Options prices are really wanky. Not accurate like stocks. Plus the bid ask difference is immense.

>> No.18342770

>>18342432
Why short things in the 100 range? You can play around with oil stocks that are 1.70. No reason not to buy 100 buck worth and let it chill then pick it up in 2 years as a free 300-400 dollars.
