This articles lists three inverse real-estate ETFs, but those indices don't track mortgages specifically. REK might be worth buying because it has a funny name. You're right. Stock prices will go up because the line always goes up over the long term. It's a law of physics. "What line goes up, must keep going up." Never mind that the underlying earnings are not actually going to be increasing. Things like "earnings" and other such "fundamentals" are old hat now. We'll just pay more for the same stocks with the same earnings because earnings don't matter. The people down the line after us will pay more than we paid for those same earnings and that's all that really matters. We've entered a new paradigm. Stocks are just bitcoin now. In fact, the federal government should consider adding regulations dictating that stocks MUST return a 7% risk-free annual return at all times.
