Eat one meal a day. Try not to eat anything with refined/processed sugar often. Don't watch TV to see the news/events. If you want to stay up with the news/current events, read them instead of watching them. Reduce your use of social media as much as you can. If you are over the age of 30, find a doctor that specializes in TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) and try it out. Come to an understanding that just because a woman is fuckable, doesn't mean she's likable. Everyone says exercise, but I know that is very difficult to start if one is depressed. Reduce consumption of alcohol. Don't jerk off; if you are going to jerk off don't watch porn to do it.

There are many other things, but they aren't easy to start, just as I mentioned with exercise. People are full of shit when they act like handling depression is an easy thing and that everyone can do it.

The first thing and most important thing you must do is coming to a realization that there has to be an endpoint for your drepssion. When I say that, I mean you have to realize you can't let yourself be like this forever. There has to be an endpoint and get pissed of for feeling the way you do. You can't go on like this. To an extent, you must look at the depression as an imposter. You need to look at dealing with depression as if you are dealing with another person. The depression is not you, it's something else. It's something that is possessing you and you have to kill it. Depression is the biggest piece of shit on the planet. Kill it.

Get mad at yourself for being unproductive. Then start doing productive things that make you a little less mad so that you're forced to create useful habits/goals. Lifting weights once a day every day helped me because then I'd feel like shit if I skipped.

The funny thing about most depression advice is you can only follow it if you aren't depressed.

What worked for me is just accepting that I am depressed and can't achieve much, then congratulating myself for doing any small thing. Could be as simple as getting out of bed to pee instead of just letting it leak out. Usually after a few months of self congratulation for very minor accomplishments I am able to complete normal tasks. This might just be because I alternate between depressed and manic phases, might not have anything to do with the technique. However I did notice that I can accomplish more in my depressed state than in the past.
