Being homeless is easy with a car. It's almost too easy. You'll get over it quickly once you see how much more money you have without a (((landlord))) leeching your income.

Right, I'd expect a well-connected company to understand post-2008 bailout rules and dump a few hundred k into lobbying as a rainy day fund so they don't need actual cash in the bank.

But nobody else has that luxury.

>>18291234
You can have $1k in savings while paying off a $5k loan. The point is to carry that extra debt/pay the extra interest on the 5% loan so your savings prevent you from borrowing at 25% on a credit card.

I would be more concerned about your long term viability to be honest. Let this be a wakeup call - your job will be taken over by self driving cars within the next 5 years, so you better start figuring something else out.

How can you have no savings lol wtf.

This isolation period should teach a lot of people about savings, you don't actually need all that materialistic shit as you once thought. Once you realise you only really need food and water to survive, and not spend hundreds (or $1k+) on shit you don't need every month, then you'll watch money start flowing into your account.

But I need more than water and food to survive, what the fuck are you talking about? Do you think I am working just to work more? Boomer tier logic

What do you need more than that? Internet, petrol, car, bills are exceptions.

Working is you delivering value to society. Spending the cash you earned is redeeming that value, asking for it back.

If you have debt, someone gave you value and it should be a top priority to return their favor. Beyond making the debt payments you agreed to, your next job is amassing savings so you are not a burden on others when, say, a global pandemic hits.

Only once those accounts are settled should you indulge in shit like vidya or getting hammered at bars.

Where I live, the retirement homes have cancelled their shuttle vans to shopping centers. Maybe you can pick up some fares from old folks who no longer drive but still need to get to the store?

Globalization means a larger pool of competitors who might provide the same work you do but also a large of customers to which you might deliver value.

Are you in US? If so apply for a disaster loan from SBA asap, call your bank and you'll get a 10k advance/grant which will be forgiven.
