I'm thinking very few things will recovery to present valuations, mostly trying to ride multiple recoveries from the bottom (early recoveries, then late recoveries). This is called a stock split, and no, you get your shares split as well. Everyone does. So it will make all your shares worth less, but you will have twice the shares.
A lot of stocks that have to split stocks will keep going up anyway, so being in on a stock pre-split can be very lucrative.

I'm planning to go boomer long in airlines, defense, and oil. Dunno exactly which companies yet but I like United and Delta for airlines due to their trends before the crash, Marathin, RDS.B, and possibly XOM for oil, and BA and Raytheon for defense. Therr is also this Spirit aerospace company I like and also Aiebus. If I had more money I'd go long in cruiselines and hotels too, specifically Carnival and Hilton.

On the other hand, you don't get the rewards of events like that unless you put yourself in the places where they could happen. Kohls has some level of business relationship with Amazon now, due to the Amazon returns thing. If Amazon wanted a bunch of brick-and-mortar store fronts real quick, why wouldn't it make sense for them to buy out Kohls? They already have some relationship and the total enterprise value for Kohs is less than $5 billion.
