been in BAT for ages, #1 holding ($ wise) after Bitcoin, yet it does nothing. It likes to sit in the 10-20 cent range and sometimes during a mini 'alt run' it'll peak near 30cents, which a 1-2x isn't terrible, but when others run 5-10x in the same time (during down/bear markets) it leaves holding a big bag of BAT to be desired. Great products in this market don't make money, hype and FOMO does. The team with the most funds in marketing and promo. will succeed here.

I think long term it helps - theoretically the more people earning/holding BAT decreases the supply. More advertisers buying BAT through campaigns increases demand. But I'm not really well versed on BAT's tokenomics.

I would think throwing down $100,000+ would mean you're in it for the long haul, all or nothing type of deal

did the token have value when you bought it? It probably has more value now more than ever before. I wouldn't get disheartened just yet, I mean the gameplan doesn't seem to have changed for anyone on the BAT team. Nobody is leaving. Project has new useful updates every other month.

totally understand the frustration though. It's price action is that of a true and utter shitcoin

I don't know. If it catches on and people see the price rising, content creators will want to earn it/take donations and will start shilling it.

The way I see it, the tinder is sort of being put down right now. There needs to be a spark that can only come from "price go up". Once people see that, it's going to light a fucking fire, because this project is an actual useful token with an entire infrastructure behind it.

I might be delusional but that's my thoughts on BAT, and I've been around this token for too long.

>People are going to be home for the next month and will be looking for ways to make extra money, most of which are too lazy to do anything than browse the web.

I think this is true, but feel like all the pieces aren't in place yet to really light the spark. For example as anons already mentioned, Uphold is the only "way out" when you want to go from BAT to USD. That's a huge roadblock. On top of that there are (allegedly) still glitches with in-browser wallets, people (allegedly) lose BAT every month/week and that would be upsetting to lots of users. To top it all off, normies just steer clear of cryptocurrency in general, and there's no Big Name authority to convince them it's not shady garbage yet.

Hopefully with people being inside 24/7 for a long period of time, people will start to take notice that Brave/BAT are a legitimate way to start making money off of online content. I mean even moreso than Bitcoin or any other cyptocurrency imo.
