Question guys. Anyone familiar with colloidal silver? I heard it's an effective immune system booster and works well as an antimicrobial. There's even testimonials saying it has treated peoples' COVID symptoms.

But when you Google it all of the top results are 'NO, colloidal silver HAS NO PROVEN HEALTH BENEFITS.' Which I found to be a little weird. What do you guys know about this substance?

Thank You

>The study, led by C.P. Gerba, Ph.D. and K.R. Bright, Ph.D., tested various ionic silver and copper levels to determine if they were effective against the human coronavirus strain 229E, a strain commonly used as a surrogate for the SARS virus in laboratory research. The research demonstrated significant reductions of the virus within 1 hour (90 percent) and reduced virus levels to below the detection limit following 24 hours of exposure (99.99 percent).

what the FUCK

If 'they' were really behind this wouldn't it be spammed all over the news and the media? this is an obscure research article from 15 years ago.

Zinc has documented effects against the common cold so it might work.

Read the references, there is clinical evidence that silver can be used to prevent infection in open wounds.

Bruh listen to me, im a chemical engineer. It is true that silver nanoparticles are antibacterial and thats exactly why you shouldnt put that shit in your stomach. Its actually gonna be really bad for your immune system as well as for your gut flora. Its gonna be like taking an uncontrolled dose of shitty antibiotics, which by the way dont kill viruses only bacteria and microbes
