Not without nasty news like a bunch of reits getting margin called or something. My read on the indexes is panic selling has ended for the moment, tons of money sitting on the sidelines unwilling to commit to positions in either direction. Most of the time that translates to melt up conditions until a level is reached where selling pressure is sufficient to scatter the cats again.

Ok bros, bearish or bullish on this plan?

I am going to inherit house from grandparents when they die, the house has 5k in property taxes however
So to counter act this I'm gonna join the military, some how get "30%" wounded and receive 7,500 in property tax exemption + w/e VA benefits i can get.

I think the hardest part is gonna be riding the line of injuring myself without killing myself, but you know what I'd rather die than pay taxes to this gay ass system, instead ill be stealing your tax dollars with my VA checks hahaha

This week is bulltards last week to load up on puts. 20% unemployment is not priced in (worse than the great depression). A second global financial crisis is not priced in, there are multiple brewing. A hundred million infected and over a million dead is not priced in. Yearly seasonal quarantine are not priced in. Mortgage is not normal debt and 99.99% of people would never be able to purchase a home outright. Even rich people don't do that, because its stupid. Mortgages have extremely low interest rates and you gain value and equity from your property. Because the loan is extremely low interest, it makes sense because investing the 100k you would have dumped into your home would gain greater returns than your increased property value.

Exactly. Also if you can find a broker with low fees a good strat can be quick-jumping, basically wait until the price has gone over the amount needed to cover your fee and sell instantly. E.g. buy in $200 of stocks, your account now has $0 in it, if the fee is $5 wait for the value to hit $210 (to cover buy+sell), immediately sell, you've just made $210 minus the $10 in fees so $200. You can repeat this many times every day

Okay so I read the book “How to day trade for a living” and I made it like halfway until the guy said you have 25,000$ to day trade. Then I stopped reading the book, but since I already gained some knowledge(Like candlesticks, bear/bull meaning, shorting/longing a stock) I figured I should test out my luck.

I understand I am not that knowledgeable about the work you guys do in these threads. However I want to learn, how can I be like you guys? I can’t say my age but I am young enough and have enough time to one day be able to master the art of trades and not have to live in a trailer my generations before me.

We were looking forward and realizing the economy was going to stop, people were going to lost their jobs and maybe their cars and homes and even many lives.

Thursday’s job numbers are meaningless because they only include about the first two weeks of March.

Guys I have two questions for the board:
1) Is it possible to partially circumvent the pattern day trading rules by using different brokerage accounts (3 day trades on TD, 3 day trades on robinhood, etc...)
2) What paper trading/market simulator is most accurate, or what is the best and why (in your own opinion)?

Getting tired of holding puts. Lost a lot of money and I need something that ideally "replays" trading days so I can look for correlations. Like how the fuck does the bond market interact with stocks? I've never looked and seen the bigger picture while trading and these losses are like a gaping hole in my chest telling me "learn to shoot better, or you're gonna die". Market gay?

Don't think too much about it. Only thing that matters is your breakeven price. The goal of trading is to get your breakeven price as low as possible.

2 simple rules to follow:
1) Sell above your breakeven price.
2) Buy below your breakeven price.
3) [Secret 3rd rule]: Selling below your breakeven price is okay if you are running out of ammo and need to load up in case of another dip.

So the general method is:
- Buy in on a nice dip/panic (use /biz/ catalog to guage the level of panic, eg: lots of pink wojaks means you're good to go).
- If market goes up: Sell some above breakeven (maybe +5%, 10%, 20% whatever you feel like).
- If market goes down: Buy more below your breakeven (-5%, -10%, -15% whatever).
- Rinse and repeat forever. Eventually your breakeven price will be so low that no dip can phase you.

Pic related, my battle with ETHUSD in the historic bear market. The orange line represents me battling to lower my breakeven price over the course of 6 months. Even in an extreme bear market I came out far ahead. Enjoy

Unemployment is going to fuck companies when they have to rehire after the end of the outbreak.

We just lost at least a quarter of the years economic activity. Pent-up demand doesn’t exist for service businesses, so you’re not genna make that up after the outbreak.
