PHD's and academic types often top out around 135. That's not so high at all. The curse is the educational system being designed for left brained people. Left brain folks are NOT idea's people, thinking outside the box is something lefts fail at. Most high iq types, 145 - to the top range and even 200, often go unnoticed. For example the magazine columnist Marilyn vos Savant was tested around 208 as a young girl. She is not an academic and makes the assessment that most academics are not smart people and simple very capable of recalling data.

For the record the the most successful way to increase iq is to learn a musical instrument. Test have proven that increases of a couple of points are achieved with a less than three weeks.

Smartest people will be those with a right brain bias. Problem, society is geared towards the left brain.

I always scored high 120s on IQ tests. Then I decided to study up on those number pattern questions (I always struggled with those) and my IQ went to mid 130s.

regardless, intellgience is something you can tell off people, especially if you interact with them a lot. way too complex to measure by a number, but if you tried really hard you could order everyone you know closely enough by their general intellgience. that's what iq means when used nowadays.
