The sentence is right though. You can't obsessively force everybody into bubbles forever to keep them safe. It's smart now to minimize the impact of the virus, but you have to consider the trade-offs. At some point we have to return to normal. We would save a lot of lives if we lived like this forever, less car crashes, less disease spreading in general. But it would be a terrible way for society to continue.

Shutting down the economy will lead to far more deaths than the virus will. The strain of trying to support 80% of people who are banned from contributing in return, will lead to a total collapse, and everyone who isn't rural or has an escape plan, will die fighting over clean water and gasoline.

More like people indoctrinated by bankers and jews think our current financial systems and capitalism are somehow inextricably intertwined.

They aren't. Shutting down "the economy" kills this parasitic credit system. Yes, there will be some damage to the host, but capitalism and republican forms of governance will be just fine in the long run. Many of aristocracy will be brought to ruin though, and - as evidenced by all of the leaping off of buildings - they would rather die and/or ruin the lives of billions than become a *shudder* the working middle class.

This is what it looks like when you are indoctrinated by markets. I'm not even suggesting we should go on a full lockdown, but you can feasibly suspend markets and create an emergency economy, and then return to markets afterwards without an issue. This is virtually done in every emergency, like a hurricane ravaging an area so that people have to eat rations and live in trailers until the damage can be fixed. What the WSJ is suggesting is that the market can't handle this emergency, which is true much like those other emergencies. The market lags, and it falls apart with big shocks. The productive capital is all still there though. The infrastructure is there to provide food and housing and energy and supplies. The problem is the market is not so flexible that everybody can just leave their jobs for two weeks and the cash flows will still deliver food and services to the right places. That requires emergency command economies and rationing.

But either the powers that be are afraid to try that because they thing it is a pandora's box, or they don't know how to do it, or they don't think it is necessary. It could be any of them. But if they genuinely think 3 million or whatever people are going to die and that is a necessary sacrifice for the market, then this is basically just America's Holodomor. They're just choosing to let some people die because of economic goals, which in this case is making asset prices go back up.

You are a fucking retard to compare some natural disasters that effect a region to entire nations shutting down their economies for a quarantine. When a hurricane, tornado, or earthquake hits it only effects that area, everywhere else is functioning properly and supplies can be brought in. In this case many things are shut down nationwide, that has a ripple effect on everything else. You can't go to work? Well you can't pay your rent. You can't pay your rent? The apartments or landlords cant pay their bills. Most restaurants and other businesses survive on a small margin. If they don't get customers they don't have the money to stay in operation. If people can't go into a farm or a factory, they can't produce the goods you need. Its a cascading effect that compounds as things collapse. If things collapse people panic. Desperate people do desperate things and society breaks down.

If we want to survive, we need to get the economy rolling as soon as possible to save as many lives as possible before we devolve into anarchy.

No, it really isn't. A huge majority of the people infected are not hospitalized and don't have serious symptoms or complications. If nothing was done more people would get sick but the economy would function just fine. The only problem would be an immense strain on hospitals, which would be resolved with emergency allocation of resources to areas that need it. Encouraging people who can work remotely to do so would help prevent the spread, along with other social distancing measures, but shutting down the economy is economic suicide.

Ten percent is high in my opinion as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if the mortality rate went above 4. My solution to this dilemma is martial law, simply put. Convert nonessential facilities over to temporary medical facilities, convert some of our numerous empty factories over to the production of generic medical equipment and drugs, use our military medical experts to assist civilians. Keep everyone who isn't immediately necessary to food production, maintaining utilities or producing emergency medical supplies quarantined. If and when medical equipment must be rationed among patients, it should be divided along a sweetspot between infection severity and likelihood of survival. The hale and hearty will do without, and those who are on the verge of death will be made comfortable in their last moments.

It'll hurt the economy, but so would anything else right now. This would be the best way to try and reduce infections as well as deaths from said infections, which will be extremely important now that we're the most infected nation on earth.

Planned economy sucked for the most part, but handling the famine was the one instance where it worked spectacularly - despite massive food shortages exacerbated by half of it being destroyed by a bunch of spiteful rednecks for literally no reason whatsoever, not many people died and most of the death toll was concentrated in Ukraine itself, which you can consider their karmic punishment for being such an utter tools in a grave situation like that.

Ukrainean government worked about as well and honorably as you'd expect, they got a full say in this. The farmers refused to cooperate full stop. Would it kill them to sell some of their grain to other parts of USSR? No. Would anyone rob them of their entire food supply so that they'd die? No (avoiding this was the entire point). They had food and others didn't, they were asked to share it for compensation and they refused, they were told to share at a gunpoint and they set their food on fire, making sure that everyone starves. Communism or capitalism, I'd put them against a wall and executed on the spot for giving me shit like this. Nobody was actually executed, which is a massive shame, the motherfuckers caused deaths of millions of soviet people most of which were their Ukrainean brethren and the worst thing that happened is that a few kulaks went to jail for a few years and their private property was made into communal property.

Even if they were getting absolutely nothing out of it and were literally robbed at a gunpoint (which they weren't, they were paid fair soviet prices for their food stocks same as all other farmers), they'd be left alive and they'd be left with enough food to make it through the famine, which was a better option than fucking dying and also causing deaths of others by proxy. You don't know past, it is suggested to you to believe by people who lie for sure.
You need to know your current human needs and peoples needs around you in order to move in a life serving way . But because you are bamboozled to believe in non existing nonsense
You need to die for mentally healthy peoples sake. A delusion is a belief that is held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. cure of your mental zombie state is bullet in the head , because everything inside your head is a lie. Truth is in the front of your eyes, but you smear it with your judgmental mind and act not life serving way.
We can move you from place to place with bamboozled youth in uniforms, but we can not a wake you to reality. and you become burden to society that we can remove with pretext of "virus".

In the past people like this just disappeared, sucks and is fucked up we can't save them all but what we're doing now is even more fucked up in some ways, just prolonging their suffering and existence in the hellscape that must be their life. But when you hear of the 1 out of 10 or something like that that actually manage to turn it around it definitely still tugs at the heartstrings and reaffirms that perhaps it is worth it, hang in there.

So you need to see with your own eyes and hear with your own ears = have real life experience in order to understand what 'justice' is.
Justice is realization that it is just us. bamboozled youth i uniforms needed to keep mental sick cock suckers like you, away from mentally healthy people.
Justice is act of re-adjust peoples activities in a life serving way with out punishment or even hate. Grabbers Criminal "justice" is to take advantage from people misery.
Everyone's needs can be met by free giving from the heart with happiness of contribution to life, like feeding birds in the park with a joy.
And we know how to do it step by step, because we have done it before and there for we know that it works. Rule of the people (democracy) is achieved by gathering in to Popular Peoples Congress like we did in Greece, Rome whole west Europe , before grabbers take over with judging and charging. We live by the rule of the grabbers judge and charge win or loose, that cause a lots of suffer for nothing. We want to live by free human will expressed in a Popular People Congress (highest institution of power) by Rule of the People (democracy) .

Yes in deed , lymphatic system has no other pump then you physically move your tissue so that it could drain cells poop in to lymphatic system and sweat out toxins. When your body purge, like sheep in the spring has a flu, to make it fast get over, you need to drink a lots of tea and sweat in sauna or warm in the bed.
So basically "National Crisis" can be solved by nice cup of tea and cuddle with the boobs. That how serious it is. Fear is most contagious danger that spread by mass media and paid shills on internet. The Empirical evidence, also known as sensory experience, is the knowledge received by means of the senses, particularly by observation and experimentation. Ask for evidence or name it as suggested imagination (lie) .

Your understanding of Capitalism is not accurate. Read Das Kapital, which funnily enough is not actually an explicit indictment of Capitalism, but merely an explanation of the arithmetic that makes it work and what conditions lead to it.

Capitalism is about the extraction of surplus value from labor. Simplest explanation: as a laborer, you work x amount of time producing goods/services for your boss until what you have produced equals what you get paid. In a fair system, we would call it a day at that point and everyone goes home having made an equal trade. However, in Capitalism the only way to make a profit on a systemic level is to make the workers labor for longer than it costs to pay them. That extra bit of money is pocketed by the Capitalist, and is called Capital. That surplus value is the namesake of Capitalism.

People might say that profit comes from supply and demand, or by selling goods/services at a markup. But in a competitive market, these advantages are always temporary and disappear fast.

Read up.

Theres no such thing as "extraction of surplus value" in real life buddy. What you call surplus value is compensation for the capitalist for his work and the risk he took. That surplus never belonged to the laborer who only agreed to work for a predetermined price based on the supply and demand of his labor

Both are right and wrong at the same time. We need a steady flow of essential goods and services or the quarentine can cause more damage to human life than the virus. A balance has not yet been reached. We need a higher degree of autarchy in most western countries. Our autonomy was destroyed by international division of labour and we need it in order to deal with these kind of events.
At the same time, the elites do not have skin in the game. Their public policy proposals are aimed at maintaning their rule. This is why they changed so quickly their opinions and are pretending that they never doubted the gravity of the crisis. They are rewriting history as we speak in order to appear reasonable. The guy thay wrote the tweet is probably one of them struggling to remain relevant.
