For the masters I think it depends on what you want to do, like the RAND Corporation, wants you to have a masters at a minimum for a junior researcher, while other positions I've seen usually bachelors.

If you get a masters that opens you up for more advanced programs but given the fact that we are going to get a recession and god forbid a depression it might not be worth it.

I was thinking about joining the military but was forced down the college path by my parents who viewed college as the only option for me.

Ironically, I think I have more of a desire to join the military now due to job stability, the fact that I am single, I don't want to go back to be with my family in my cramped apartment, and the fact that none of the careers seem to interest me (I realized I hate office and research settings).

Any advice on the service? I also got some federal loans that I wanted to help my parents payoff and if I remember correctly the military has a federal loan forgiveness program in exchange for service. Plus since I have a masters that qualifies for officer candidacy programs last time I checked.
