Anyone support landlords a lot more now that you've seen a bunch of angry spergy /leftypol/ posts crying about rent?

I'm contrarian and anything that makes normie renters more miserable in aggregate is something I will support.

Trump is lying. This country has been leveraged on debt. Pic related is the GDP to debt ratio. This has been years in the making and I'd be surprised if the banks didn't cause this coronavirus on purpose. To sink markets and buy back in secretly. Similarly to how they did in the past. This is no longer a question of money. It's a question of your livelihood, your children's livelihood, and the livelihood of the nation.
America is sick and diseased because the leaders continually have bowed to the banks and those who hold the most wealth. This is why we see the country slowly dying.
The current leaders, if they do know about this, would rather see a nation slowly die, then to sacrifice lives to let liberty and justice prevail.

The banks would almost without a doubt start another world war if it meant taking power back. We are closing in. The time is coming. People are feeling it. If the country is forcibly illiquid as we are now, it is likely that a war breaks out and other countries such as China may intervene, hoping to seize power.
Why do you think America has been in perpetual war for so long? They sacrificed the lives of those in the twin towers for it, they sacrificed the lives of millions upon millions of what could have been prosperous men and women, children. Their is no end to their greed and the day will come that this country comes to the light of the truth. Let us sieze the day and not lay asleep in apathy, carelessness, selfishness. Let us instead promote justice and prosperity back to our land, back to our country, back to our nation.

The day a man lets his nation die, is the day he himself dies spiritually.

I've said all this various times before but it all bears repeating so let's examine you for a moment. You're the sort of person who comes here all the time railing about how "If x doesn't do y, people will stomp their heads in! Bunch of parasites!" Well, you're obviously angry enough to do something like that. Why don't you? It's because you have low agency.

The very reason you occupy the political space that you do is precisely *because* you're not someone who can engage in behavior that requires forethought, discipline or sacrifice. You're not a person who does things. You sit and wait for others to do them. Or you angrily demand they do them.

You think you chose your political ideology. Actually, it chose you.

So sit and make your threats about what you're going to do when the revolution comes. It might. But you'll still do nothing. You'll never be physically or mentally healthy. You'll never have good relationships with your family members. You'll never have loyal friends who wouldn't yank you back down the moment you secured a hand or foot on a single rung above them. You'll never find fulfilling employment or succeed in business, you'll never even try. You'll never have power or influence. You'll never see your dreams for this world realized.

Stop thinking that coordinating your visits here constitutes "operations". You've changed no minds and made no difference. Go take more drugs and watch more Netflix. Nobody cares.

I don't see why that would be necessary. I'm sure you have emergency savings, like every article of financial advice ever written says to have, and everyone with an IQ over 50 has, right? So what are you worried about?

landlords dindu nothing. It's leasing company's that should get the rope. But don't fault people for "playing the game" because you're a piece of shit.

My dad is a landlord. It is NOT a fun job...but breaking even with these things is a pain in the ass if you aren't in a major city. My dad's property's only get rented to beaners because of the area, sometimes I worry he's gonna get shot because of it. But people will trash the property without a second thought, and keeping them "compliant" alone eats into your profits hard. So you're paying property taxes, maintenance, and repairs on a monthly basis. Suspending property taxes would allow rent to be suspended probably.

So I've been considering buying property for about a year now. The lesson is to buy in "white" neighborhoods, yes?
When I was renting, the screen door actually locked shut from the inside, through no fault of mine at all since it was genuinely already broken and impossible to predict, but I had to call the landlord at about midnight so he could drive for an hour and then use a hammer and his own tools to break down his door and let me in. I can see why it might not be so fun now.

Yeah, generally you want to aim for higher value property in a nice area I think. (Although keep in mind this is literally my dad is a landlord tier advice). But he regrets aiming for quantity over quality. Area, condition, pricing are all gonna decide the type of renters you're going to run into (same with security deposit) I'm not saying you should set out to screw people out of security deposit or anything...you'll get a better reputation being reasonable. But people WILL take advantage of you in this renting environment.

One thing to tack on here though is that if you have a good renter, be willing to work with them...because someone who doesn't destroy your property, keeps it looking nice, and pays rent on time is worth their weight in GOLD. If they have a bad month, you don't need to jump down their neck and serve them a notice to pay just for one month if they've been consistent for years...because it's more expensive to find a good tenant than it is to just not raise rent or let them be late on rent. But again, you need some experience to really determine that otherwise people take advantage of it.

>Anyone support landlords a lot more now that you've seen a bunch of angry spergy /leftypol/ posts crying about rent?
Absolutely not.

Obviously it's good to save money for a rainy day, and sometimes people are at fault for not doing so. (Not always. Sometimes people have unavoidable expenses that make it very difficult to save.)

But I have no sympathy for any landlord who thinks it's OK to evict tenants who cannot pay at a time like this. The threat posed by covid-19 is real, social distancing is genuinely one of the best ways to deal with it, and people can't really do that if they're being evicted from their homes. Doing so doesn't just punish them. It puts other people at risk. It's selfish and antisocial.

Now obviously I understand that landlords also have bills to pay and I am completely in favor of mortgage holidays etc for them. Pulling together in a crisis is not going to turn the country into Venezuela.

>I'm contrarian and anything that makes normie renters more miserable in aggregate is something I will support.
Grow up, you fucking child.
