There is someone out there with a SHITLOAD of money who decided 1. They want to be in the market right now and 2. They don't think they need much insurance against price drops (hence spy put prices dumping even during time periods when spy was dipping).

Even if you're right in predicting the market goes down, I think you will get fucked by falling IV right now.

Maybe sell far otm options on something with high vega. Do it as a spread so it's covered in case it really ends up itm.
