I live in PA. As surreal as it is to write, my whole state is now on lockdown and every single institution is as much a gamble as YoBit Dice to invest in. All nonessential stores are closed. Small businesses are closed. Lifeblood industries are closed or closing by the end of the week. Food absent from shelves like most places. Who knows what knee-jerk reactions will come next.

Bitcoin is bullish and I think DAOs are especially bullish for one reason. Stakenet, as an example, is still being actively developed as if nothing happened. No cancellations or delays and a beta test that's still going on as I type. By coordinating remotely and independent of workzones that could potentially become contaminated, the virus only poses a threat in extreme scenarios (i.e. the entire global internet goes down for a very long time or all the developers get destroyed by a comet). BUSINESS AS USUAL so long as the internet remains up.

COVID-19 has pushed the vast majority of traditional workplaces far beyond their organizational limits and capabilities. There are only so many things you can scramble to find "work at home" solutions for. These waves of closures and quarantines are a double-edged sword of cruelty in that they take traditional markets and wealth into the gutter while also creating massive labor shortages. i.e. Businesses can't grow because they can't find skilled talent because they're quarantined indefinitely.

The momentum behind Bitcoin makes me think it will grow, which makes me think the need for Lightning to be usable so it can scale will become exceedingly important along with the need for a fast, trustworthy high-volume non-KYC DEX with unlimited trading pairs.

tl;dr - Stakenet is quite possibly one of the most bullish assets to be in right now.

If society decays to the point that there's no electricity, you'd probably want weapons and supplies.
I'm banking on electricity and internet infrastructure being reliable enough to weather most scenarios and be readily available enough into the future.

You came into a Stakenet thread with no idea what they've been working on for the past 2 years, let alone what you're talking about, and dislike Lightning for little more than because you hold BSV, right? kek

THREADLY REMINDER
>LN was poorly implemented
I don't see how Lightning will take off beyond a hobbyist phase without massively centralized interests getting involved.
>Stakenet designed an ecosystem that takes what Bitcoin implemented for LN and makes extraordinarily powerful use of it
Stakenet's solution is notable for embedding LN nodes into masternodes so the LN nodes have access to all the collateral locked in the MNs (quasi-centralized liquidity pool within a purely decentralized network). The nodes will be running 24/7 in the background atop all that liquidity to rout payments and should take very little maintenance to keep up.

It could very well solve multiple problems in the industry by meshing the gears of many underutilized together.

Lightning?
>Lack of liquidity. Not profitable enough at the individual level.
Staking?
>Inflationary. Sometimes to an extreme. Underutilized use-case outside of securing the integrity of the network.
DEXs?
>Low liquidity, low volume, paper-thin orderbooks, AND difficult to access for 99.9x% of the world.
Atomic swaps?
>A big win for DEXs but still potentially very slow depending on which coins are being swapped.
Masternodes?
>Like so many staking coins, what do they do other than secure the integrity of the network and inflate the circulating supply?

Using m a s t e r n o d e s and the collateral locked within them to power L i g h t n i n g A t o m i c S w a p s which serve as the infrastructure for what could very well become the speediest and most liquid D E X in the industry and using a conservative inflationary supply to gradually produce more m a s t e r n o d e s which, in a way, provide an opening to expand the exchange with additional servers so it doesn't hit a bottleneck. It's both genius and shocking that no one in crypto seems to even know that it exists.

In a way, I can see where you're coming from. Lightning has been around for almost 3 years and a lot of the solutions presented are anywhere from mediocre to embarassing.

Stakenet is the exception to the rule, man. If you have a thorough understanding of Lightning, you're more than welcome to come beta test the DEX. Help us break it, if you want. I think you'll be surprised at how effective it is as both an exchange and a liquidity pool for Lightning tx.

Right now? They don't, simply put.
The dev team has been quietly working on this project for 2 years. They got started right when the bear market kicked in and everyone was sick to the stomach of alts. Unlike a lot of the top 100 alts that got exposure in 2017 when a webpage could make a coin moon 400%, Stakenet got it when everything was in freefall.
As the bear set in, everyone became so blinded by raw sentiment that there was an almost industry and community-wide spurning of any alts that weren't already established. The only way it's been possible for any particular alt to get recognition since 2018 is to bribe an exchange or other large interests (media, traditional companies).

I believe the Stakenet devs decided to avoid that shitty route for 3 basic reasons
>exchanges are like wind chimes
>it goes against everything they've been developing (an exchange that doesn't play gatekeeper or change it's terms every 3 months)
>even if you were to bribe, why bribe in the middle of a bear market?? might as well reserve everything for development because that's the backbone anyway
So far, that strategy has appeared to age well.

Some Maxis will always act like 12 year old fanboys. That's on them. Others, I think, will get what this is all about. It's hard to describe something comprehensive in scope when the industry groups you in with Putincoin and LiteDOGE because they lost money on Vechain or some shit. The logic is all off.

High-volume BTC/XSN LN swaps are the next target. They're also the launch target. If everything goes well and remains stable with the beta test they're running right now (which, again, you're more than welcome to join it'd be great to have you), and so far it seems to be, that will be very easy to activate.

Do you know how some people have an eye for retro games? I used to collect them back in the 2000s. Though it's exceedingly rare these days, it's still possible to walk into a thrift shop and, amidst a pile of shovelware, find a 50 cent sticker on some rare NES game that's worth $700 on the internet. The untrained eye wouldn't know the difference, but a true blue autist knows the difference between gems and shovelware.

If, at some point, you've been in multiple alt positions and truly understand what makes a coin have inherent worth, Stakenet is a very reassuring and consistent project to keep an eye on.
