I know this thread will get flooded with idiots and pajeets but if there are any intelligent anons left, this is what is actually happening.

Wall St firms have been getting shredded over the last few years and nobody is beating the market indices. Their future was bleak.
Despite the common perception, most fund employees aren't bad people. But when their paycheck is threatened they will do less than ethical things to preserve their place in society.
They also aren't stupid. They know that speculative assets like crypto fall the fastest in "crashes" and recover fastest.
There are now custodial services available for crypto.
Legacy media sources have been getting killed too with ad revenue down and the clickbait wars showing no end in sight. A few key articles in mainstream press outlets are incredibly cheap to buy right now.
Covid19 was overstated to allow a window to "diversify" into decentralized assets for larger firms. The script will flip when that process is complete with similarly paid for media content. Total worldwide deaths from covid19 will be less than half a normal seasonal flu, just like they were for previous coronavirus outbreaks like SARS and MERS.
