It does actually. Why? Because several people would offer themselves to stock shelves without any education or preparation. Anyone can do it.

The supply of unskilled workers able to stock shelves is more than the demand, thus the job doesn't pay very well.

The demand for unskilled labour would be higher generally in a more free market, and the possibility of advancement even without academic merits would also be better.

They should absolutely get massive bonuses for working during the corona panic. Normally, those jobs are low paid, becuse pool of potential workers is huge, but that doesn't mean they aren't important.

It is your own fault for not being unionised. If you want good wages and safety during times of crisis like this then you should have unionised.

Capitalism didn't fuck you over, you just didn't take the power that you could and assumed that your boss was running a charity.

Companies isn't going to give anything away for free, it is a business, if you don't force them then they are not gonna do shit.

Of course, if people unionise then the CEO is forced to give workers rights and great wages. And safety in crisis like this, CEOs don't like to lose power and to have workers controlling the rights and wages of the workers.

In a free market CEOs will always try to stop unions. Swedish police used to execute unionists in the streets, but there were too many of them so the economy would collapse if they punished all of them so now all workers in Sweden have 5 weeks paid vacation and nobody really suffers economically in due to covid19. At least no workers.

Companies COULD break the law many workers can't afford lawyers, but if they are unionised then they also get lawyers so that makes it difficult.

Management who don't stop unions are dumb. Because they lose power.
