Same. They are dealing with the issue of Adobe cancelling flash at the end of 2020 right now, trying to re-code major components of the website in HTML5. But it's not working, very slow process and very decentralized. Selling to JumpStart/NetDragon has basically killed the game.

I think a mobile Neopets for adults would be amazing. It sucks right now because every though the player base is 100% adult, and the intellectual property they are sitting on is high-value... they still are trying to target children (zero income other than parents money) with their inane rules and dumbed down plots. Gone are the days pre-2008 when the game actually dealt with real topics like the stockmarket, etc. Now you can't even write about stonks for the Neopian Times.

I'm a hardcore China supporter and usually defend China but they're lying about this virus being over right now. I didn't want to admit it but I'm almost certain they are lying. I use superbuy to purchase things at times, and I placed an order two weeks ago, basically it ships the orders off of taobao stores to a Chinese warehouse. All of the packages I ordered from stores in the Hubei region have not shipped, it has been weeks. Usually it takes 3-7 days. Even back in late February, I got a Hubei shipment within three days.

Superbuy themselves have a large tl;dr about Coronavirus delays. This idea that the virus is over is propaganda to make China look responsible in the face of a global massacre in Europe and North America.

Economic Drivers are what matters. Oil is one for the American economy.

The other appendages of the economy like your local eateries don't matter. No city in the midwest became a ghost town because the local diner closed down. It's if the engine goes down.

The oil hit matters. Airlines, vacation, leisure stuff doesn't matter. It will come right back.

I actually hold a bit of MO in my IRA because I think those fears are overblown, but I’m a retard so don’t trust me.

I don’t think you need to focus on divvies, but I like KO PEP JNJ. Christ, even LMT is at about a 3% dividend right now, trading at a discount because people are suddenly concerned Donnie is going to lose and the Dems will put in someone with less expansion of military spending. Maybe even worry about foreign ability to spend on US fighter jets and satellites.

I like MRK, but Cramer made some excellent points last week about PFE and VZ, which both have staying power and also have an excellent yield. PFE because it’s been so hated, I don’t know the whole story there but it’s been seen as less exciting than Merck or JNJ.

Maybe. But we’d also have less Olympic medals, and our whole pro sports thing would probably suck. Sports are one of the reasons us culture is so dominant as far as I can tell, Michael jordan helped spread Nike and Coca Cola to every corner of the globe. You really want that to be some eurotrash company instead?

Also, we wouldn’t be on mars. Maybe like 2 guys would be on Mars in some spacelab. I think people would be miserable on another planet, we evolved for this environment. Whatever type of human that evolves to be compatible with foreign planets and space travel would be different from us. It’d be a different species.

Finally the 90's kids are going to be put into a fantastic situation economically after this is all over. Stocks, oil, housing, education, all will be way more affordable whereas before they were extremely expensive compared to their actual worth due to speculation bubbles and corporate/government greed.

so I've been doing some thinking lately. it seems like every economy in the world has been waging an uphill battle against deflation for years now and not only are they becoming increasingly sensitive to deflationary pressures but it seems like the central banks who fight against it can't help but deplete their arsenal of measures against it. meanwhile the banks have hijacked this system for their own benefit, stirring up debt and creating bubbles in the process, which makes the system more susceptible to deflation and so the central banks have to boostt the system. in the end it becomes a vicious cycle where debt ends up getting increased and deflation becomes more intimidating even though it isn't directly addressed. not only that, the banks want the central banks to use emergency tools like rate cuts meant to kickstart economy after a recession for their own benefit. pls tell me if I'm being retarded.

Northern countries don't care and will be in the shitter soon enough. UK is trying some new strategy, herd immunity - LOL.

US - totally done, left and right dead ppl, but everything is fine since you are not able to test shit and once you have the capacity to test them, you will find out that nearly 99% are already positive. Good luck with your hospitals, they wont be able to deal with a friction of the cases.

Yeah it makes sense. Problem is that you can't really control the spread. At all.
Hell countries can't even get people to quarantine themselves in their homes. Hoping that there's any kind of a controlled spread is insane.
What will happen is that the medical system will just get insta bogged to oblivion and will remain that way for ages and create all kinds of crazy problems.

>>17805291
Basically yes, but keep in mind how long things get to recover.
Compare this to the dotcom bubble. It's a long way to previous heights if you jump in too early or pick the wrong stock.
But yeah you can just throw money into some too big to fail and too important company like Boeing that will inevitably get bailed out or an ETF and wait 10 years and enjoy the world of green.

This is pretty much the perfect time. You have seasonality coming in which will blunt R0 naturally. You have peak panic in behavior.

This is a low point in R0 that you can use to start a controlled burn through society.

Assuming you have any foresight you'd know the real risk is in 2020/2021 winter season. Letting a portion of population, especially those who are probably superspreaders (superspreaders will get it most likely) will greatly help any problem come the upcoming winter season.

March-April is when you want to let this thing loose in your society. Give ample warning for intelligent people to change behavior, but hard lockdown is counter productive.

>This idea that the virus is over is propaganda to make China look responsible in the face of a global massacre in Europe and North America.
Assuming this is true how do they possibly think this is going to work? You can't hide the shit you're describing, is the plan to double down on the lies and desperately hope the situation doesn't get so bad they can't continue to cover it up?

This, you can't hide something with exponential growth. They can cover up a portion of cases, or under report by 75%, but they can't just have it go exponential and no one notice.

WTI is still at around 33. At this price no new drilling is cost effective and roughly half of current wells are made unprofitable. Trump doesn't have the political capital to bail them out, and subsidizing production would mean that the supply issue isn't resolved.

I import and have several suppliers in China. All are behind by around 5 weeks, and communication is quite bad. Even if people are not walking around sick there's definitely still some kind of lingering effect that has a huge dragon business over there. one of my suppliers did say that they go out only with a mask and only to go to work or get groceries and then they come home and stay at home.
