reminder, you must calculate your projections including climate sensitivity or they are meaningless.

Indonesia

Perfect examples where a non-climate predictive model breaks down instantly.

Look up Qom, Iran climate during february before you argue with this.

The biggest worry in the market, or for doomsdayers is the 2020/2021 winter season

That means you are playing against the vaccine, treatment, etc play. Don't assume we will go exponential in April/May/June.

Reminder that Monday is going to be another limit +10% increase.

Market is massively oversold. It's not even funny. Less than 100 people have died from this shit in America. WHO GIVES A FUCK. STOP PANICKING DUMMIES. Once people realize this along with the low interest rates and massive stimulus we will moon. I wouldn't be surprised if we see SPY at 400 in time for the election and for Trump to win a second term. This will be the greatest V up in history. The virus is completely harmless to anyone under 65 and overblown so much by the fake media. I am going to max out my LOC, HELOC, Credit Cards, and all overdrafts on Monday to go 100% long on SPY. I expect to easily make 30% return on this before end of year.

It’s not the end of the world and it’s not a money printer, you’re looking at the wrong things. It means there’s something wrong in the system though.

But a stock market crash could cause a recession/depression. Would cause massive layoffs. Could create deflation or unseen inflation impacts.

The neck are you asking?

First of all they NEVER call. They send a very nicely worded letter informing you that you should please see about paying the money you owe

Second when/if you do owe money (even in error) you should call them (Google their number don't use the one in the letter) and wait in hold for a day till you get a person.
Get all the facts, pay immediately (if you can) so that you don't accrue a penalty (you can owe the penalty even if you're right) then file whatever proof and amended firms are necessary
If necessary you can negotiate in person. They don't want to rape you, they know the whole system works off people's willingness to participate, so if you argue in good faith and earnestly they will do what they can.
If they make a mistake (which they often catch in their own) they are eager to own up to it.

Any phone call is a scam. Any email is a scam.

I really don't understand the rally today. The market volatility right now is just confusing as hell, because we are still in a bear market, and of course there's ups and downs no matter what kind of market you're in, but these wild swings are unlike anything we've ever seen in history.

What's insane is that things are getting worse economically in the short term. Cruise ships are fucking dead, and will be for years (good riddance), no one is going to be flying for months at minimum, and because no vaccine will be available widely for probably a year or more with all the development and testing required, and the vaccine probably won't even be completely effective on most people either, but anyways the point I'm trying to make is the Coronavirus will be with us a long time and we have to adjust and adapt to it and it means large economic ramifications for many industries, especially the hospitality and travel industries. Some sectors will see limited growth, but most will be in decline. Things won't be getting back to normal for most of the world for quite some time, not even in China, because while they have contained it mostly for now, it will start spreading again if they start to resume "normal" activities, which is why you still see relatively low activity in Chinese cities. China can handle that kind of rapid change in their society, can America? I really doubt it. Once the panic buying starts to slow down and we begin settling in to most of us being at home most of the time, things will start to get a little better, but the virus will still be with us, able to spread. Maybe higher temperatures in summer will help eliminate fomites faster making it safer to be outside, but carriers will still have the virus and be capable of spreading it indoors.

tl;dr - the bear market has only begun, so strap the fuck in because it's going to get worse in America.

True. I've never been called by the tax man before but have received the request for addition information letter in the mail. It was nothing, they just wanted me to mail a copy of a receipt. I have, however, received a call from my broker once. One day I wanted to shift things around between portfolios and, rather than organize a transfer of my holdings, I just put a limit sell for the position in one account and immediately limit bought with the other account at that price. This was only possible as the position consisted of warrants (not shares) and they had very low liquidity. So broker calls up, says hey what's the story with these orders you did on x date? I told them. They say don't do that as it looks like you were trying to spoof volume and that draws the attention of the SEC. I said hokie dokie. And that was the end of it.

Yeah, tons of diseases in the wild, that haven't spread around the world in a global pandemic you absolute retard. Oh wow there's so many diseases out there! No shit Sherlock, the difference is this disease is pretty fatal to a significant segment of our society, and especially so in the west where people are more unhealthy, obese and suffering from cardiac and vascular health issues due to poor diet and lack of exercise, so you have a disease that's quite potent, and it's spread across most of the world and is continuing to accelerate its spread.

Again, this isn't going away anytime soon. Don't expect new cases to stop being reported in the US next month, they will continue to grow until the measures we are taking in cancelling large events and forcing everyone to isolate helps to contain the spread and we get most of the people that have been exposed tested and isolated until they're not carrying the disease anymore. This could take months, and even then the virus could still have the potential of spreading. Look at Italy right now, that could very easily be us in a week or 2.

I live in Louisiana and have family working in hospitals here and just earlier last week there was no activity, no one gave a shit about Coronavirus, an then a case was confirmed, and then another, and then another, and now we're nearly 40 cases in my area and the ERs are being overwhelmed. My dad who is a doctor is trying to lobby one of the hospitals he works at to cease all elective cases so that they can focus on dealing with the virus and limit exposure. This is not going to end anytime soon.

But always do research on the enthusiast opinion. In a nutshell though, Ford's CEO is retarded and his direction is pretty much summed as aimless and exiting the car business to focus on trucks and SUVs. Guy also has no auto experience and what vehicles Ford makes don't appeal to anyone, and the way they put together the Mustang crossover should tell you everything about how fucked they are. Compare that to GM where they are at least trying and putting their fingers in a ton of things. Ford's efforts in autonomous driving and EVs and future platforms pales to others.

Perhaps.

But socialism and planned economy suffers from such a high degree of specific informational entropy that the proper allocation of resources is impossible.

It is an acceptable state of affairs to mobilize resources on the way to evolution into a proper capitalist economy from a peasant one (the only times it has ever actually happened, in stark contrast to socialist theory, which predicts the opposite) as a means of getting selfish localist peasants invested in the idea of being part of a broader community/market of goods and services.

Not really. Just a basic set if TA rules you put together. Bring up old charts, test your rules and indicators against those charts to see how well or not well they are at giving you better than coin flip odds at being correct. A good set of indicators tuned to your preferred trading style should net you good gains when you're correct and break even or minimal loss when incorrect.

Consumer confidence is higher than ever. Our great President, Donald J. Trump, has taken immense steps to restore the economy and avert recession. The people believe that the government will keep them safe and that things will only get better from here. They know they have nothing to worry about.

We can expect 10% growth in valuations across the board this year, and an additional 10% each year for the forseeable future. Never have we been stronger. Never have we been more united.

Thank you President Trump.

What the op doesn't understand is that companies must forecast demand, and import products accordingly (I own my own company). THEY (AND I) ARE LITERALLY IMPORTING LESS STUFF THE LAST 6 MONTHS (AND ESPECIALLY NOW) FOR FEAR OF NOT HAVING BUYERS. So in some ways, through import figures and job openings figures, companies best forecast the future state of the economy. Also look at bond yields (demand). All forcast decreased growth in stock market /real economy. BUT. If there's someone who will yank the thing around (for better or worse [but mostly due to politics and dogma])...it'd be Trump. Trump may refuse to allow a recession on his term. Perhaps that's what all this stimulus is. Kicks the can down the road even more, at future expense [of tax payers].

shorts. And btw, Brazile and at least a few European countries are battling or on the brink of recession as well. And China..how do you think they are doing?...see their last PMI?? World-wide mother-fuckin recession incoming. What the fed is doing lately I can think will be only 2 things: prevent total panic on wallstreet by slowing the stocks fall, and creating massive inflation which further gives to the rich and takes from the poor. (rich use stocks, which will rebound faster and higher than ever, should we actually go below the 100% average of market cap to gdp "buffet indicator".
