hedera is nothing new in fact the concept is stolen basically (probably from byteball or an other dag)
there are countless attempts at using dags instead of blockchain they all promise the same ie better faster than blockchain and higher tx count faster txes etc...

not to mention it has already been demonstrated such federations can be taken over and all validators replaced if there is a will to do it.

bitcoin may be slow and has it's own problems well known for many years.

just remember one thing it's not hard to outperform bitcoin when you give up any of the three base attributes: trustless permissionless and secure. it's actually childs play to perform better than bitcoin the more centralized and trustful your solution the better it scales.
