For me the fact that even started offering margin trading means one thing only: no retail in this market since december 2017. Mostly big players and exchanges driving the price up and down. I think a lot of people got an awakening when they bought at 19kish. Thats why its very important to play this short term in and out as quickly as you can. You just need an optimal position with reasonable margin position

No 100x is straight gambling, but you set your leverage from 1x up to 100x. The more your leverage is high the more the liquidation price is near the price. Say you go long from 8700 with 100x, your liquidation price will be close to the price (around 8660 if i’m not mistaken). The key is to play the long term moves with low leverage. Google margin trading bitmex.. a lot of tutorials out there you can start with testnet.bitmex.com (it’s free for education purposes, no money involved..)

It isn't as simple as that. As others already pointed out, you'll have a low liquidation point but what they failed to mention was that when you open your trade you'll move the market a fuck ton if you go in all at once and then you'll get instantly liquidated, so if you did a 100x you'd have to wait and then gradually buy up as much as you want, all whilst still hoping that the price doesn't get pushed down so much that it hits your liquidation point.

Though, your liquidation point won't be really low until you've put the whole 1k in. It's still an insanely low chance to winning, though.
