Idk if we should be bearish or not.

Ether holders had the easiest investment in history

>> No.17613683

shut up with this "ether holders had it so ez" nonsense. most of the early eth buyers sold at $10 and necked themselves

I'm saying, they had to wait 890 days from ICO for it to go from under 1$ to $1400.

LINK meanwhile is at 890 days and still yet to break $5

Its almost like you should base your analysis around the halving and not days since ICO

>> No.17613738

If BTC did a 20x right now as it did while Eth moved up, and if Link did 9750% on its sat pairing, it would equal 200$ chainlink.

So if all conditions matched Eth, we'd be at only 200$

This

Days since ico is meaningless since btc was trending downwards while link has been mooning. Imagine if it had been on a bullrun like eth.

Since I think you're being genuine on these critiques of using Eth's breakout model on Link, I'll offer my perspective. You should base the model around the halving and not days since ICO, and Link moved up 9000% already from the bottom of a multi year bear market. Ethereum never experienced a bear market during its price discovery phase. I don't think there's a sat value you can use here that would truly make sense. Compare Link's market cap over the last year (including this month) to Ether market cap between Mar '16 to Mar'17 and you'll see why the model makes sense. Hope this helps.

So you are saying it'd be more accurate to start off that model from the halving event, and whatever gains eth made from then apply it to chainlink post (this halving) for a somewhat comparable projection?

Tbh, it's hard to make them anyway. I'd say we are something like Eth at 20$ now, f you compare market caps and free supply and the overall conditions etc.

Eth had a big 20$ resistance that took pretty much the exact same time to attempt again (July 2016 -March 2017).

>> No.17614022

the biggest blackpill about chainlink is simply that it's useless. it cant be used for anything yet, and it never will. it's a shitty erc-20 token, the likes of which have all completely disappeared from the market. LINK was kept afloat by hopium and memes - a copious mix i'll grant you - but if you really look at it from a truly dispassionate perspective, you can see that it is nothing. it's worse than vaporware.

i'm glad some of you, including myself, have made money from it up till now, but there's no way this project is ever going to do anything practical in the real world. the sooner you realize that, the better.

Yes, but Link will be ahead of Ethereum because we've been around for longer. I think we're going to Eth's mar '17 this month, with baseline protocol having a similar effect to the EEA

I completely agree with these takes. $5 is our $20 and after we break it, we will probably go straight to double digits.
