There are 1 billion Link tokens.
You are telling me to buy a token with no mainnet and no usecase? All tokens are worth 4,8 billion. Every startups with real world value has a lower net worth.

You don't hold shares or anything. Even if these were shares, it would be overvalued. Look at the small team.

Chainlink is the most likely token in its space to see actual usage. It's the most developed network with the most enterprise-grade features, features that people didn't realize they wanted until Chainlink put up a blogpost about them. That the devs figured out what customers wanted before they did should tell you how far ahead of the knowledge curve they are relative to everyone else.

Thank you for this response.

Why is the Link token so valuable? What will you do in the future with it? And why won't Chainlink just be copied by private companies?

>> No.17571298

>>17571267

Private companies will have a hard time copying it, not just because Chainlink is the largest network but because Chainlink not belonging to any company is part of its value proposition. Its impartiality is ultimately what will instill trust in the network, since it provides a way for banks to request each other's data without worrying if the counterparty is manipulating the data, since the Chainlink node is effectively masking all of the transactions. It's not BNP Paribas requesting Goldman Sachs data, it's Chainlink requesting Goldman data, on behalf of a third party.

The LINK token is valuable because it provides an incentive structure for Chainlink nodes to behave and not attempt to provide fraudulent data.

Blatant lies like this ruin /ourcoin/. Link smooths out data fluctuations between sources. Link is blockchain agnostic and as an erc10 coin the only one that has interoperability between chains. Any Blockchain any time as Sergey loves to repeat in his presentations. Nodes will get paid in link if and only if they get customers that need this data. The cottage cheese industry is great but they need more than just partnerships; they need clients and/or customers. Btw its 1MM LINK for a masternode which is where the 700k dumps went. Consensus must be maintained through the network but with only speculation Sergey must dump and these dumps are considered holy.

Will hit atleast 10 and duckers love to gamble . If a faggot will spend money on lottery tickets why not this that you atleast can decide when you win or lose . It’s really a simple choice . Only reason I hesitate from buying is I’m sad I missed out early . Hoping it comes down so I can get in but we will see how long that takes or if it just has too much momentum . Then again I’m only a week into learning about markets and crypto so I’m retarded

>> No.17572425

The price is more reflective of speculation than it is of utility. Chainlink's product is data aggregation and communicating real world data through smart contracts in teal time, accurately. Is it worth almost $5 a token today? I dont think so. Its more valuable than real companies with real physical products. Why is it so heavily shilled when there are hundreds of other tokens with brighter ideas? Memes. Cult following. The name is catchy. Sergey Nazarov. Idk. At this time, there isnt a lot of actual use of Link. There is less than 40 million people that own cryptocurrencies in the world. Some things you cant explain. I personally do not trust a token that the owner holds most of the supply. They own 65% of uncirculated tokens. Thats a red flag.

Not even. Its all speculation for why it pumped to near top 10. Had nothing to do with Google integration or any of their partnerships. If you check out the top 100 wallets and some with 10,000 tokens, they were bought at ICO or two years ago. Not saying that Links mechanics and oracle blockchain idea arent worth a lot, but its still an erc20 token coded like a lot of scams. Its not exactly decentralized when Sergey owns 65% of the tokens. The more an average investor buys, you are just making them rich.

Im not going to argue about its price in fiat. I know for a fact chainlink isnt being staked on a worldwide scale yet. Ethereum in itself is overvalued. Bitcoin is too. 7 tx per second? All of these coins are 10 years old or less. You still cant use them everywhere. Thats the power of speculation. It doesnt make a difference if there is a Link network or not. To the tech guys, price is out of mind out of sight. To you on biz thats all you care about. Greater fool theory is the backbone of why crypto has value, period. Log off /biz and go out in public and tell me who is using these coins in real life. Crypto is not even close to where the internet was in 1994.

Why do you get so offended when people talk truth? I get it. 95% of you are here not because of what link does, but because you caught the fomo bug and got lucky. Good for you. I hope that these projects work out in the end. Not against Chainlink. I just dont see why its worth $5 a token when not much has changed since 2017. Just more bagholders creating a network effect. How about this. What if link stayed at 12 cents to this day? Would you still give a damn about it? If the price never went up. Do you care about the network being real and the code not being corrupted or that the price if the token keeps going up and the whole thing eventually being a scam? If link were to dump to 50 cents tomorrow this whole board would shit themselves. I care more about the tech being real than price movements because at the end of the day, thats what really matters.
