As best as I understand it he was a kid who loved and admired his big brother and struggled against the tyranny of his father. I agree with everything you wrote up until this point. Trump banned flights from China at the very beginning of the novel corona virus. People called him racist for doing it, but it turned out to be prudent. Imagine if he didn't do that. We would be infinitely times more fucked right now. That being said, it's impossible to prevent outbreaks if the entire world is infected; we'd have to ban international travel completely. The best thing Trump can do is remain transparent, which his administration is planning to do going forward. Trump knows if he screws this up it will cost him his reelection.
