hello fellow retards, dipped my toes in online poker back in the days, but didn't have time to learn shit and play tournaments.
decided to stop playing bullshit online games, and thinking about getting into poker to earn some small amounts weekly.
i would be satisfied by earning 100$-300$ per week, can do it for 8h a day.
>learning tips
>experiences
>what's the best site (used fulltilt b4)

thanks for reading my blog

The objective of Poker is to play against the shittiest players possible and make positive EV plays while paying the lowest fees to the host.

If you are playing online, you are playing with good players, and are paying a lot of money to the host. Even if you make good EV plays consistently you can still be an unprofitable player.

If you wanna make money playing Poker, local tournamements are way better and half the people will be drunk. Of course, they are not legal in all areas.

Now that being said, you can play microstakes on sites and then big cash games in person so you improve as a player faster.

i'm in eu, and local poker is legal so definetely will be looking at that. there's a lot of good players on microstakes online ? i know there's probably killers playing tournaments with big payouts, but i was wondering about small stakes for sure.
what client is better pokerstars or 888 ? fulltilt doesnt even pop up with google search for "best poker sites" anymore

Its trash, everyone that knows what they’re doing is running a bot program that gives them real time stats on hand percentiles/win conditions/win percentiles

Your best bet is to play in person, everyone online is cheating or dumb of theyre not cheating

It's not really regulated market. Would you trust unregulated online casinos too? Rumours of superusers, rigging rng for house players etc. Also Bots rinks have been caught previously

Don't waste your time with this shit, if you can sacrifice time grinding at a low iq boomer card gambling game, put it into working harder at your main job instead. Or build a product that you can sell

you have zero chance winning at online poker in 2020, take it from somone who played fulltime 2007-2012 and still playing live poker full time.

Online poker is a mix of bots and team colluders playing off game theory solver programmes, and what occasional fish they are get swallowed immediately by whoever has the best seating script. It's sad, because the glory days were just that glorious

and also read a lot of shit from forum users from my country that this shit is not profitable anymore online most of the time.

and playing locally only against some very experienced players is too much of a hassle.

fuck that, thanks for coming anons and i will just stick to crypto then.

FUCK ONLINE POKER AY LMAO

I put in 1m hands since like 2016 and can beat up to 10NL consistently. You can beat the pool at least at micros, but 5% rake just rapes you in the ass. I have over 5 figures paid in rake but like 1-2k total profit over lifetime.
115 iq.
So if you're good enough to beat poker these days, you'll.make 10x more in any other field.
Also swcpoker for low rake poker.

1m hands at 10NL.. Soul destroying. You must have the power of autism. I could barely put in 200k a year at 100NL back when people were throwing money at you and I did it full time

I don't regret any of it. The realization that I don't have a cut for it was a bit sad, but that's OK. pre-rake, I was still beating 25NL. If I invested money into coaching I believe I had the persistence to go higher... But what's the point of "grinders dream" if it pays more to work in warehouse and is less stressful lol.

Anyways, learning about EV, and how bad you can run even when doing correct decisions... It really put a perspective of probabilities - like before I thought 1 chance is nothing, now I realize how often villain hits runner runner and it puts it in perfective.
Overall, considering it was like age 16-20 when I did those hands, I consider it to be worth it.

Also, when playing live with people, seeing how confident they are in their ignorance is redpilling too.

You can make good money playing live at casinos against very bad players, otherwise you will be grinding with defend on the daily.

Also, poker isn't a game where you expect to win 100-300 a week, it's more like be up or down thousands a week, up or down thousands a month and up or down thousands a year.

I play on an app. It’s like a private club. Pretty based. Daily free tourney, nightly 25k tourney, plus others

>what’s the point of doing what you like/love and getting paid shit or being a slave at a warehouse?

Do both if you really love poker. Life sucks if you just grind it out to pay bills. The Jeff bezos evaluation method: 30 years from now, if you just worked to pay bills, how would you feel?

Vs

Maybe you still work at a warehouse, but every week for the passed 30 yrs youve been developing your poker skills and now you’re playing competition. Let’s say you don’t win, how would you feel? What if you did win a few close ones?

Not really sure on the rake. It’s a private club on a free poker app. I cash in and out through cash app. It’s a huge club though. Some tourneys have like 1500 people. The app is called PokerBros

Well good for you then. Serious advice I wish I took while moving up; play one or two tables instead of eight. Gives you chance to play each hand while considering every variable and assigning very detailed ranges to opponents, which you can't do effectively when grinding multiple tables to make a living. Also do a HH review after each session. Basically sacrifice your hourly for a higher bb/100 and focus on improving rather than grinding. Will massively pay off when you're stomping mid stakes or live games. Will also stave off burnout
