In the 1983 movie "WarGames", one of the themes was that the only way to win some games is not to play.

If you think that Chinese Bat Death is just a hiccup, then trade away and good luck. But if you think this is going to crash the market, history has shown over and over again that there is only one proper move... go to CASH.

Back in 2008, there were some winners but mostly losers. People who lost included...
> put buyers who mis-estimated the best expiration dates
> people who bought the dip, not realizing that there was another 30% to fall
> people who but it would go up, but it went down
> people who bet it would go down but it went up
> people who bet that company X would collapse but it didn't
> people who bet that company Y was safe when it wasn't

But do you know who was in the best position of all... those who stayed in CASH the longest.

When the crash is done and stocks take a real upturn, there will be enough signals and enough time to get in and ride the next wave.

Those who still have cash when we hit bottom will have the best buying power. They will also be in a position to take advantages to discounts in real estate, cars, and other luxury items that people have to sell in a hurry.

So trade away, and I hope you make money, but don't catch a falling knife, and know when the best play is to keep your powder dry.

How is the world fundamentally different. Do you think people didn't know the spanish flu was happening? It was constantly reported on. Which is more, do you think market makers didn't know about the flu.

We knew how viruses worked in 1918, and we knew about vaccines. So that doesn't make any sense.

What I am saying is not that the market shouldn't have corrected itself. It probably should have. What I AM saying is that the corona scare is a facade behind which big jewish money is attempting to get you to part with your shares. You sell at your own risk.

Can anyone explain why there's such a delay in Vanguard selling my index funds?

I sold at 1pm GMT on Monday, I was sitting on around 20% profit, which came to a little over £2500. Vanguard says "We'll sell at the next valuation point", which I assume would be close of market on the 24th? However, they appear to have done nothing until the 27th, which is my new valuation, and I've now dropped to just under £1600 gained and 12.95% rate of return.

Put in a sell order for 2/3s of my bond ETFs tomorrow. Been holding bond ETF 90% and REIT ETF 10% since January. Sold the REITs just before the peak.

Will cost average the proceeds into the S&P 500 over the coming weeks. Have been cost averaging my disposable income into the S&P since Wednesday. Might get some of a REIT ETF and SPYD too.

I fucked up and bought $4k of the UBS BDC index on Monday. Genna have to hold those bags for a little while.
