Welcome, always remember that most of the stuff shilled on here are shills looking to take advantage of you. Been in for 4 years. BTC and ETH are low risk/high reward with actual adoption. LINK and XTZ are great options too. Everything else is nothing but gambling. Considering you only have $600, I'd stick to low risk/high reward.

Take a week or two and so some research on crypto and when it tends to have a bull run
right now is a pretty decent time to buy a few coins

Also you don't lose money until you sell so don't panic sell just because you're -$30 one day because it might be +$50 the next week

Usually there are good calls on /biz/, it's just hard to figure out which are organic, my personal rule is to never buy anything that pumped, its 90% people offloading their bags on you.
