Hey guys I'm attending the LINK conference in SFO tomorrow. There is going to be a Q/A session so what questions do you guys want me to ask Sergey directly? I already tried to ask about staking but the devs just gave me a link on development updates (which is an obscure answer).

I'll make sure I'll try to get all the questions in the conference, I'll write them down. You can also direct questions for Ari since I'll also want to talk to him.

Hope LINK moon bois

additionally, I was thinking of asking obviously bullish question to increase investor sentiment.

i.e "To what extent are you guys working with Google and Amazon?" and "I heard LINK is ISO20022 compliant. What does this mean?". So if that's good with you guys I can ask such but the Q/A session is only like an hour long so they better be very important and they probably won't pick a NEET like me every time.

I was one of the anons who got to spend time with Sergey after the Gonser chat. He's very well spoken and polite, but there were a lot of fucking morons and weirdos bombarding him with questions a simple Google search could answer. The biztards were obvious at that event, mostly due to how desperate they were acting, kind of like scumbag paparazzi vibes. Remember, Sergey comes from a private equity background, was one of the earliest BTC miners, and made bank off both NXT and ETH icos. He's no stranger to Crypto investment, and his time is incredibly valuable. Some tips:

Don't ask Sergey financial questions about your investment in LINK tokens. It's poor form and he won't answer for very good legal reasons. Instead spend your time asking about info that isn't currently public, examples like "What sort of data providers are you trying to onboard next?" Or "have you received significant pushback from potential customers that shows they're hesitant to adopt smart contracts? Or all they all as bullish as us? Which ones are most excited?"

If you really want some financial hopium, you can ask something tactful like
"Do you think we'll go through similar hype cycles with smart contacts as we've seen with BTC and ETH on the same timeline, or will it take longer?"

Sergey is very much 'our guy', and he's extremely bullish on the ability for smart contracts to automate trust assurance processes for Enterprise. The man knows his stuff, and you should spend more time listening than talking. Also remember that his NDAs won't let him talk about certain things, so read between the lines as well ;)

2. Have you received significant pushback from potential customers that shows they're hesitant to adopt smart contracts?
3. How did you meet Ari Juels and what made you work with him?
4. ???

1. Will the network be self funding, due to metcalfe's law/Network effect?

I personally wouldn't ask #1, since it's basically Googleable and the answer is obviously yes, as otherwise they won't be able to interface with banks at all. A better question would be "what's the current timeline before we can use Fiat onramps like venmo/paypal/bank apis with chainlink Oracles? I'm most excited for the use cases that involve direct Fiat to Crypto conversions, does anything external need to happen before that's possible?"

Also I bet you $1000 they answer #3 in the talk itself.

For Ari, you should ask him his experiences with early cypherpunk groups and his take on the development of the Crypto space that he's witnessed since then (you DO know he was part of Satoshi, right Anon?) What does he want to see more of from the community now? Also there's a 50/50 chance he'll talk about the history of gematria and Kabbalah with you if you're into that. You should skim Tetraktys beforehand to learn what he's about.

Jesus Christ you faggots, hes OBVIOUSLY going to say yes to #1. So we’ll have gained nothing except sergey saying how they’re “talking to hundreds of teams” just like every other fucking conference. Your questions are shit. Ask questions that get Sergey to TALK and describe things so he’ll reveal details about projects he can’t talk about due to NDAs. This board is so fucking low Iq. None of you deserve link.

I meant to say “he’ll say no, they haven’t got pushback” and go on to talks about the interest in smartcontracts. No one cares. Ask him intelligent questions that he can’t stop talking about. That way he’ll reveal his mind and WHATS going on.

>> No.17303855

>1. Have you received significant pushback from potential customers that shows they're hesitant to adopt smart contracts?
I can't remember which interview it was from but Sergey definitely said the consensus amongst top people were that using smart contracts was the preferable way of doing digital agreements. So be prepared for him to say something like "it's unanimous that everyone thinks that smart contracts are the future"
Go with #2 or ask about ISO20022. #1 is kind of a self-explanatory question/answer. Why wouldn't a company want to cut costs, be more efficient, have more reliable, better enforced contracts?

This guy gets it. We only have a couple times a year where anons get to ask questions directly to Sergey himself. The questions and breadcrumbs everyone discusses around here daily. Exactly. Something like: “Sergey, what products are you most excited to see being currently developed on the chainlink network?”

Sergey isn't a genie, you spergs. He isn't obligated to tell us anything, and in fact specifically did not answer direct questions about SWIFT and other unannounced partners at the last chat. The sort of new things he told us then was the infamous "derivatives and insurance before EOY," and we all know how that turned out. They don't give strict info and release dates on this stuff simply because there are so many moving parts. They might be ready to release their SWIFT smart Oracle tomorrow but have to wait for some specific regulation or standard to be released that's delayed another year. He won't tell you this, but instead will say something like "we've fundamentally shifted our focus to defi projects to allow for Enterprise infrastructure to catch up and establish a framework for future adoption." You gotta read between the lines so you're not surprised by more cloud infrastructure announcements this next year instead of SWIFT.

>> No.17304161

>>17304108
Of course he’s not a genie, that’s why anyone asking questions should do so intelligently so we can gather more information on timelines and inside info. The new features will only be ready when they’re code ready so it’s better to focus on future business partnerships. Like, great, mixicles. That was what? 3 months ago? 6? Let’s pry into business development because all the tech is still only theoretical.

2. I'm most excited for the use cases that involve direct Fiat to Crypto conversions, does anything external need to happen before that's possible?

I feel as though you're misunderstanding the intent of the question, since it IS a business development inquiry. He doesn't just answer yes/no questions with a simple yes/no. The follow-up is what matters. Let me spell it out for you:
"Have you received significant pushback from potential customers that shows they're hesitant to adopt smart contracts?"

"Initially no, we've had overwhelming interest in smart contracts and their unique ability to reduce costs and increase security for a multitude of industries. Some of our data providers have expressed concern over the costs of public-chain ethereum transactions, but we're confident the combination of technologies we've published blog posts on will alleviate those concerns very soon"

Translation: Eth 2.0, threshold Sigs and offchain computation is coming. Don't sweat ETH's shitty scaling. Also we're gonna move to Tron blockchain $1000eoy

Maybe come up with a backup question that you don't post here in case somebody snipes your good question ideas from this thread. Personally I'd like to know what Sergey would say if asked about the "maximum extent" of the chainlink network alluding to the idea of it enslaving all of humanity, or otherwise could lead to breadcrubs. Or you could go with simple ideas that could allude to some breadcumbs such as what the logo means. Harder to dodge the simple questions.
