not contradicting you just curious. I could see bitcoin rising to that level and even higher as the world population increases, but i think there is going to be a lot of structural resistance to it. The 2017 bullrun made a lot of millionaires and even some billionaires off of crypto, and i think the world system could accommodate that level of upheaval. I don't know if it could handle the creation of hundreds of billionaires.

I also think this is starting from the wrong assumptions. Btc doesn’t care about how many billionaires exist, neither does crypto as a whole. It is solely based on value and link is going to be creating it in unknown territory. As for btc i see people becoming less trusting of large traditional institutions (equifax breach for example) and when they hear about it rising again many more will be open to it

One of the differences between link and btc in my perspective is the purpose and goal of each. bitcoin is a direct attack on central banking and monetary policy, and it was always intended to be that.
Link is designed to facilitate the current system, improve it, and make it cheaper and more efficient. That's the main reason i'm so enthusiastic about link - it works with the system and not against it.
I can see bitcoin having a place in the world system in a supporting role, but you have to remember we live in a world where 9/11 happened as an excuse to start the middleast war, libya was destroyed because they wanted a gold standard (and merkel wanted migrants), ect. We are ruled by very bad people who do very bad things, and they will do very bad things to make sure it stays that way. Link assists them and enriches us, bitcoin attacks them and enriches us and the chinese.

Link has some useability, perhaps it even deserves a place in the top 20.

no, you're still thinking of official actions. there are a lot of things they could do. force you to give up your keys via torture. drone strike mining operations. get the public behind them with a terror attack paid for by bitcoin and force seizure. They've done stuff like this in the past.
