Newfriend here, still trying to learn the ropes. How can you tell if a coin is a scam? What are some examples of coins in the past that turned out to be scams?

Everyone here is trying to pump a stock or some crypto. Don't listen to anyone. You just need to understand that there will be a massive crash. All stock will be super cheap and you can buy anything you want for cheap. Till that day hold on to your money and DON'T buy into an shit on here.

It used to be Asian devs because back in 2017 a lot of scams popped up from that side of the world. The pajeet scam was legit at that time. Today, harder to say. A lot of the scammers are gone but only because the market stalled. Very likely more scams soon.

All that being said, you have ask yourself, is what this coin/project is promising already being done? I start with that.

Basically all coins are scams. Your only hope is to figure out which coins are legit and fill a real purpose.

99.99% of ICOs and coins are scams. You may or may not profit, but they are scams.

easy
>did it have an ICO?
scam
>are the devs anonymous?
scam
that leaves very few non-scam coins. everything is garbage. you can make money buying scams, just don't be teh last one holding.
